Glasgow Rangers back for Whittaker Tuesday, 17th Jan 2023 13:48 by Swansea Independent Glasgow Rangers will come back with another improved offer for Morgan Whittaker despite differences in the original bid and the amount submitted. The original offer despite reports was nowhere near the million pounds reported but we can agree that one and a half million is around the correct figure this afternoon. Swansea City want in excess of two million pounds for the forward and Gers manager Michael Beale who knows his championship players from his time at QPR is keen to make the signing. He is reported in Scotland as stating Morgan will offer a lot more to Rangers than he has at this time. ( source daily record ) This afternoon Beale commented on Whittaker “He is certainly someone we are aware about, he is a good player and will most definitely move during this transfer window” The figure is still away from what the swans want for Morgan and it’s likely with this latest bid they will hold firm for a better offer. The USA ownership have been questioned by several outlets in the last two days as to their commitment to the clubs transfers this month, including here at Swansea Independent. And we stand by our question on why Morgan Whittaker was really recalled to Swansea despite being told initially it wasn’t to sell him. We also stand firmly by the ownership missing out on previous transfers due to a lack of an expeditious completion or moving the price at the last minute. In fact we know that is the case. Wales on Line have reported the same in recent times, and no amount of shouting down that allegation will rub with us. We expect Morgan now to push for this move, it is a wonderful opportunity for him to play at a big club and get games, and hopefully goals. The question will still remain though, and that’s not only the transparency of the reasons why he was recalled but why he was never really given a chance at Swansea. But then you can only play eleven players at one time. Photograph ©Swansea City AFC Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
