Swansea City v Fulham : Olivier Ntcham hoping to be on Song !
Tuesday, 8th Mar 2022 07:20 by Keith Haynes

Olivier Ntcham will be as pleased as anyone to be selected in the Cameroon pre World Cup 2022 squad this week. Rigobert Song chose to include Ntcham after several excellent performances for the swans this season. Plus, tonight we see Swansea City take on Fulham in the Sky Bet Championship.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7.45pm at the swansea.com stadium on a night which could be described as a free hit for Swansea manager Russell Martin. Mark Robins described the swans pitch as ‘outstanding’ post match on Saturday and with Coventry sharing with Wasps RFC as the Swansea do with Ospreys RFC he is keen to see changes at the CBS Arena. The well kept stadium pitch will suit both sides tonight and Fulham will come hunting confident of getting the three points.

Fulham manager Marco Silva is well prepared for tonight’s game

Fulham manager Marco Silva is prepared for tonight’s game “Yes, it will definitely be different,” he said in yesterday morning’s press conference. “They’re a team that like to have possession. I think they’re the team with the most possession in this competition. Their game is to play out from the goalkeeper, they have enough courage to do it, and they do it with quality. I think the game we played against them at the Cottage is a good example of that. I think maybe they were the only team that had more possession than us at the Cottage. That shows the way they like to play”

It seems as well that Fulham will employ a high press to put the swans off their keenness to dominate the ball. Silva has this covered. “We have to press really high to try to get the ball from them, and we will do it in certain moments. Other moments, we have to control in a different way, and I think that will be a good challenge for us.” Silva knows what he has to do to get the points tonight and Russell Martin can expect a far more difficult game than witnessed on Saturday.

Russell Martin will be detailing his sides current situation for tonight later.

Swansea City FC have reminded supporters, Fulham the Championship's league leaders travel to the Swansea.com Stadium and we would like to remind supporters that they do not require an NHS COVID pass for entry. However, we would like to reassure supporters that we are still encouraging the wearing of face coverings where possible, and hand sanitising stations will remain in place across our concourse and hospitality areas.
