Sheffield United blow could be Swansea City’s gain

Twenty one year old right wing back Jayden Bogle is unlikely to feature for Sheffield United on Saturday as they look to extend their six matches without a loss against Swansea City. Bogle has certainly impressed since Paul Heckingbottom took over as manager, proving to be an influential figure in the Blades’ resurgent push for a top six spot in the Championship table.

Bogle’s eighteen appearances this season have rewarded him with three goals on the blades right hand side. He is very quick and his latest injury will need managing. The quick transitional style Heckingbottom has implemented in a very short period of time see’s his side right in the mix for promotion. Boggle has been a key figure in that success.

After being rejected by Reading and Swindon but finding some solace at Derby County, Bogle was signed by the blades in September last year. The clubs recruiting policy has been far more imaginative this season and Bogle is evidence of this. For any footballer taking a knock back at an early age Bogle’s story is worth noting.

Meanwhile

Russel Martin spoke up for Ben Cabango in the run up to the game stating "That's why trying to play this way, it's about developing people, character and he's showing that he can really play football. It's been a real test for him, the first few months, getting used to doing something new. There's no doubt he can defend at this level incredibly well, but the other side of the game, what he's doing and showing, it takes big courage. He's been fantastic. Even the way he bounced back from making a bit of a mistake was fantastic”

With Finley Burns looking a decent signing it could be we see them both working together in partnership again this weekend in Yorkshire. Swansea City fans won’t be disappointed to see those names on the starting eleven team sheet come Saturday. And it seems Sheffield United’s loss is Swansea City’s gain, and let’s be honest the swans need all the help they can in the first of three demanding fixtures before the end of the month.
