Jamie Paterson unlikely to be fit for Saturday against Huddersfield Thursday, 13th Jan 2022 14:29 by Keith Haynes Swansea City have been dealt a blow after Jamie Paterson fell ill in training this morning and had to report sick. He isn’t expected to feature this weekend away at Huddersfield. Jamie has been one of the swans better performers this season and put himself firmly in the Swansea City hall of fame with an incredible performance in the 3-0 demolition of Cardiff City. Having just signed a new deal with the swans and missing out on last Saturdays first game for four weeks it’s a blow for the player and the club. We understand he will spend this weekend recovering before being assessed by the club on Monday. This leaves swans boss Russell Martin with a dilemma for the supporting role for Joel Piroe. It could well be that Michael Obafemi who has been linked with a loan move away from the swans starts again up front with the Dutchman. In other news, Liam Cullen is understood to be in Lincoln this afternoon for a medical.
