George Burley - Daydream Believer Wednesday, 22nd Dec 2010 12:28 Norwich City travels to George Burley's Crystal Palace ground, Selhurst Park on Boxing Day. Travelling support will be around about the 2000 mark, what with the relative proximity and the Bank Holiday. No doubt the George Burley song, to the tune of Daydream Believer, will ring out, especially as Crystal Palace currently sit in the relegation zone. Burley, however, is confident that his London side can do the double over Norwich City. Norwich still has a bit of a reputation for being over-generous to visiting teams that are performing poorly elsewhere in the league. Palace counts themselves among those beneficiaries, winning by two goals to one, back in October. Burley acknowledges that City is outstanding on the road, but thinks his drop-zone side can dent the confidence of the likes of Grant Holt, Wes Hoolahan and Henri Lansbury. That is hardly likely, though. One thing that does seem to echo frequently from the players is the appreciation of the Yellow Army that are there, come wind or weather, and the players want to win to show their appreciation. Besides, what can it mean to a sad George Burley and his sad football team? Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
