Didn’t see that coming tbh. I hope Nunes plays as part of the team. The danger sometimes is that these on loan players try too hard to show what they can do and take more in rather than looking for the more effective pass. Hope he has a good one. |

Maybe not the game for Fulton. They need to keep their heads and not let the emotion run wild or else we’ll be struggling to keep 11 on the field. Conversely, treat it without any emotion and we’ll surrender and die.

True. Substitute ‘would’ for ‘should’.
I don’t think it’s just us, far from it. The standard of refereeing is appaling at the moment.
That said, ref last night was very good especially for us. The only real thing I can remember he got wrong was the high boot towards the end of the game which didn’t touch the Portsmouth player who had his foot up as well. I’ll take that. |

I mentioned VIP’s reaction in a previous post as I thought it was hilarious too.
He was off the pitch at the time of the strike but even if he hadn’t been he wasn’t interfering with play so the goal would have stood. |

Morning R. Actually that’s my feeling too. They’ve shown they’ve got the beating of Ipswich.
I still believe we need to replace as you say but also improve. I’d like to see more beef in the side, an enforcer or two. And I still worry about our CH partnership if we want to look a top 6 side anytime soon. |

It’s a great stat but we’ve had a bit of luck (which is always needed admittedly) such as the poor finishing by Stoke / brilliant on the line block by MoM Key on Saturday.
These things foster confidence though. Get some away form going and things will be looking up next season. |

I can’t agree about Eom. Nor very much with you on Tonald today, he was a lot better than in previous games.
Burgess did play very well.
I think most did well today, no duff appearances, some better than others as ever. But I’d like to have seen us go at them in the second half straight from KO rather than patient build up which was frustrating. I really thought that we were going to huff and puff and not get a goal but thankfully we did. Also at 1-0 I think Stoke could always have got a goal back. They very nearly did. |
