" A man intentionally drove a pickup truck into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans' French Quarter early on New Year's Day, killing 10 people and injuring dozens of others, officials said. The FBI said the driver was killed in a firefight with police."
No Swans fan should forget Scunthorpe and James Linington!! ๐
"Football League rules state each side must have at least seven players on the pitch for a game to be played so with Swansea down to six men, "Isle of Wight official "Linington" was considering abandoning this footballing farce with two minutes remaining."
"The farce descended to new depths when Swans boss Paulo Sousa had to send the injured Idrizaj back on to the pitch despite his inability to take part just so this crazy cup tie could have a conclusion."
"The Welsh Ambulance Service has declared a critical incident because of increased demand across the 999 service and extensive hospital handover delays."
"It said more than 340 calls were waiting to be answered across Wales at the time the critical incident was declared on Monday evening."
Azerbaijan President has said that Russian Air Defence "unintentionally" shot down their plane, but adds that Putin will not take responsibility for the crash!!
How very sad to learn of the passing of another Welsh rugby great from the 1970โs-the totemic Geoff Wheel, 73 @SwanseaRFC. A double Grand Slammer he devoted much of his time to St Thomas Church as organist. Deepest sympathy to his wife Christine, family and friends.
When we were in college, he was also on the books down the Vetch. Rugby's gain, was football's loss.
With Wales - Geoff won three Six Nations titles, including two Grand Slams, a hat-trick of Triple Crowns, and the record of 15 games unbeaten in a Welsh jersey.
RIP Geoff - one of life's gents. - A monster on the pitch - A Gentle Giant off it!! ๐ฅ
Fury was well aware of the fact that Usyk could hurt him. It was obvious from bell one. He suffered from PTSD. Fury is no idiot, and as much as he tries to act unhinged and fearless - as soon as the fists touched his face and the left hand repeatedly pushed in his ribs -the first fight came rushing back to him, and he found he had no answer.
He didn't do the right things in training that would allow him to beat Usyk.
In order to catch Usyk, you have to catch him within an exchange. You can't punch and then let him punch. You can't let him punch and expect a chance to hit him afterward. He's a different pedigree. He changes angles. He gets up on his toes and bounces - this allows him to control the timing of the fight.
The fight happens when Usyk allows it to happen. Fury was flat footed the whole night. The only time he could score was when Usyk allowed him to score.
Fury couldn't see through the pain. He couldn't see through the discomfort. Maybe Usyk isn't able to either, but it didn't matter because he is so incredibly skilled. The fight didn't have to go there, and he didn't let it go there.
The fight itself was good. I liked the drama, but it is a 1 watch fight. I'm not going to see anything the second time that i didn't see the first time around.
I really like Usyk - his skill ability, his mental approach to the fight, his heart, his character, and his respect for the sport.
