My Mrs is a teaching assistant in Penrhys Primary. The stories I hear on almost a daily basis about the pupils, and more regularly about their parents, are horrendous. The staff there deserve at least 6 months off a year, and to have their wages doubled!

My [sort of] step son works in Wetherspoons, he's very happy with how they've been treated. Most of the people who work for them seem to have no problems. I don't go in them that often, but do like their breakfasts. I'm a so-called leftie, and have absolutely no intention of boycotting them.

Both managers are/were Cardiff fans. Let's hope they do the sensible thing and agree to play out a draw game.

Cardiff-22,822
Swansea-16,150

Average League Away Crowds 2019/20

Cardiff-1,532
Swansea-1,162

Because 2 people on here bought the subject up, I hadn't even mentioned it in my first post.

Strange responses to what was an honest answer. Our crowds are bigger than yours, home and away. I don't really care, but you've brought it up...

Hardly anyone does the 'head slapping' anymore, it just died a natural death.

Saw them a couple of times in their later years. Have to agree, more like a HM band live.

Nice guy, down to earth. Used to get his mates freebies for CCFC games at Brighton when he played up there.

Firstly, that heading, brilliant. Think it's died a natural death anyway, only 2 out of 8 out on their doors in my street on Thursday.

Book Recommendations

Just read Black Klansman, so can someone now recommend me a book about the KKK. Nothing too overly intellectual, but then again not a 'Janet And John' guide.

Very sad news, and looking at the photo I've actually met him a couple of times. He was in Bad Reputation, a band that I booked when when I was Ents Sec in my local Rugby Club. RIP.

Still love 'Atmosphere', but if I'm honest I very rarely play anything else by them.

Ah right, UP for me. Sophia Gardens yes-a bit ambitious really, held about 2,000. Top Rank would have suited the line-up better.

It was late 1979, so it would have been mostly 'Unknown Pleasures' tracks I guess. Rumours at the time were that it was off because of poor ticket sales!

A mini bus booked from the Prince to see them supporting Buzzcocks back in the day in Cardiff, called off, gutted...

Sorry, worded it badly, it's only been up for a couple of weeks. I mean it'll probably be up for 5 years from now.

Me and Mrs TP have been sitting out the back a lot lately, having a swig in the fine weather. The house is near to the local park, so there's plenty of people going there for their daily exercise. I'm amazed at how many English accents I'm hearing, bloody everywhere. Freedom For Pentre.
