Putin issued 24 ‘red line’ warnings in 2022, 15 in 2023 and God knows how many this year. He realises that he cannot win in Ukraine and his position is becoming untenable, hence another idle threat. |

Compared to the fare we’ve witnessed under Page this is very encouraging. They should have scored themselves but at last we’re having a bloody good go, and dare I say it, with a bit of structure. |

With the amount of service our strikers get it’s no surprise that we struggle to score goals. Saturday we started with three defensive central midfielders with little or no options to make any significant difference.
Crosses coming in from both sides were bread and butter to the Boro defence as the bulk of the time we had one man in the box, with no late runners coming in.
Still, only one game gone, and we’ll see how Vipotnik gets on in this lineup, but as things stand I wouldn’t expect any miracles. |

Best restaurant in the area was MK at the George, which closed due to issues with the council, but has now been taken over by the people who run the Buck in Pontlliw. MK is at Venue 42 on Newton Road, which has had great feedback. Well worth a visit. |
