Well I for one am glad to have spent the last of this season's bond cash on one. While I'm sure that buy the time the shirt's in my possession he'll have at most two games left to play for us, I do like the look of Korean script on an Rs shirt, and by the time I visit Korea, if I ever do, he'll probably be getting regular games in the Europa League and I'll be able to enjoy parading around Incheon in it.
Now can we sign a South Indian player? Preferably one whose mother tongue is Kannada or Telugu, which I can actually read. |

I'm not worried about losing the blackout. Real fans who support their clubs know that you don't get very much out of watching on tv instead, even watching your own team, never mind some other fixture just because it's on telly. Those fans only watch on TV because they cannot get to the game, and they're far more likely to be able to get to it if it hasn't been moved.
For every fan that decides they'd rather stay at home and watch Man City on telly instead of travel 150 miles or more each way for their own club's away game, there'll be six more attending because their game is at 3pm and hasn't been moved to 12:30 or Friday/Monday night. Sure we'll still have to play a few 12:30 games each season so that people in India can watch Leeds at 6pm instead of 8:30, but on the whole everyone should get more 3pm kickoffs and I really don't see it affecting attendances that much. Not ours or teams in league one or two, who have some of the most loyal fans there are. |

I said a while back I hoped we could be mathematically safe from relegation a game or two before it's no longer possible to it make the playoffs, and it looks very likely that will happen now. |

Even though Wednesday have beaten us enough times recently to make losing to them no real surprise, I still wouldn't take a point before this game because I want to see us continue this run of wins and of home wins. If we lose, our league position won't be hurt much more than if we draw anyway, even though it means Wednesday pulling away from us. I think we've earnt the freedom to see what happens. |

Extrapolating from performances in individual games achieves very little, whether it's Ashby, Chair, Marti or anyone else. Chair having an offday has about as much predictive capability as Ledesma's hattrick. |

The ball seems to be irrelevant when Alfie gets it. He just makes defenders shît themselves and then ends up the other side of them. If he had better close control and finishing he'd be even better than Kolli. As it is he's still a huge asset to us. |

And if we do go up one thing I definitely don't want to see is us signing the players signed one year prior by the teams who ended up getting relegated, especially if they were promoted the season before. Nor do I want to see us sign players who've already achieved it all and have no hunger to work twice as hard at a smaller club for a mid table finish. Oir recruitment has to reflect what we're doing now in terms of finding players that no-one else is looking at who fit the plan but increase the overall ability of the squad. |

Take the money and run is a fine idea in principle, but rarely does it ever happen, and even when it does, it involves a year of morale-destroying defeats and at least one manager sacking, when the manager isn't the problem since the whole plan was not to spend money to try to stay up anyway. And it's even rarer for the club to bounce back within their parachute seasons, and that also comes with a risk of building up a premier league wage bill and remaining in the championship with it and facing a big P&S headache.
No, I do not want us to do that. The only way that works is to develop and sell enough players for enough money to be able to build a good chunk of a Premier League squad before you get there. Not counting what Forest have done of course which results in doing a Derby nine times out of ten. |

I wouldn't want us to go up unless we had been favourites to go up anyway and had just sold Morgan, Kolli, Lloyd and Dunne for £50m each and reinvested all of it in a squad that could finish midtable at the first time of asking. |
