This is where my head is at too. Woke up on Sunday and didn’t think QPR till someone else mentioned them. Don’t really bother with much non QPR football nowadays. Too much on tv, and too many d!ckheads involved. |

I rang David Mellor in the early incarnations of 606. I told him we would get relegated if we sold our best players. Then we sold Les. I also told Michaela Strachan we were better than Swindon, even though they did the double over us. That was a radio 5 competition though, I won sensible golf on the Amiga. |

I used to be able to watch the red button on my iMac but now it’s all changed I can’t seem to be able to stream the games, only on my mobile. So even for the likes of me that can’t go as often, I can’t watch as many games! |

Balogan went last summer, although I’d hope we aren’t that silly now… |

I can’t remember Larsson playing in that game? Might have been Agathe? He was a tricky winger who might have been on that side. |

I hate Man City so I’m biased. I’m no fan of FFP, but I do wonder what state we would be in without it. It has forced us to cut our cloth accordingly and in the next few years will be sustainable (possibly) as a business. |
| Forum Reply | Rob Burrows Rugby League Hero at 08:20 3 Jun 2024
I don’t know much about rugby league but I got dragged to Headingley to watch Leeds v Bradford a few years. One player stood out for his stature, and his tenacity. I couldn’t believe someone so small could compete with these relative giants. What he and Doddie have done for awareness to this horrible disease is amazing. Both truly inspirational men RIP |

3 for me and all in the last few years 1) splitting up from my wife, full on depression, horrible thoughts. Saw a councillor through work and worked things through and realised I was a completely different person to before I was married. It was like I had been playing a character of who my then wife wanted me to be. I suddenly had this amazing sense of freedom. I met my partner via tinder (no laughing at the back, or front). Cheesy but she’s amazing and 1000% what I’ve always wanted. 2) realising work isn’t everything. I had gone for a job largely for the money, it was horrible. Like a nonstop episode of the apprentice. Toxic. I dropped down a fair bit of money and I’m so happy I did. You live to your means and I have everything I need. 3) being diagnosed with epilepsy, happened late in the day, when I was 39. Blue lighted to hospital during covid. Partner couldn’t see me, scared and alone. Much worse for my partner woo had to witness it. I’ve had one seizure since but on the right meds now. Hardly drink now and when I do, it’s pints of shandy. I used to get absolutely smashed, get lost, miss trains. Stupid stuff to do when in late 30’s. It sounds like an insane thing to say, but it could well be the best thing that’s happened to me. Fitter, healthier, better father, partner, friend, person. Sorry for long post! |
