Christmas Bestseller - Paul Clements book of after match football bullshit
at 09:03 14 Dec 2017

Whilst we all know the bullshit that goes hand in hand with the ' beautiful game ' ( if you doubt that ask yourself how HJ became DOF or Bobbly was appointed a Premiership Manager having been parachuted in from division 2 French league !!!) this former / current schoolteacher has cornered the market in the specific field . No matter how dire , directionless or gutless HIS teams performance turns out to be , he has mastered art of deflection by coming out with increasingly new and innovative lines of bullshit. We have massively underestimated him , this guy is a genius ........ Unfortunately not one of a football kind !!!

Coming from a backround and family with strong Military ties the chanting of any song which glorifies death particularly in those circumstances is abhorrent and cannot in any circumstances be justified . Just like the mindless fans who sing about being ' up to their knees in Fenian blood ' . Every time there is a reference to Ireland or Celtic you have a rant and are abusive . Son things have moved on . If you have never been to an Old Firm game you might not quite understand . Yes on both sides of the divide there are those ( a rapidly finishing minority)who want to perpetuate what might have been the norm 20 years ago but the world and Glasgow has moved on . I travel to Old Firm games with dye in the wool Glaswegian Gers season ticket holding fans . They go in their end and I go in mine . Post game we meet up in one of the many and overwhelmingly neutral pubs in the City , it's banter at its best . Try it some day , it might just take the edge off your seriously deranged views of those of an Irish or Celtic persuasion

Keep reading you posts Pencoed boy . Lots of bitterness and hate, get over it son . Ever been to Glasgow? Old Firm game , Celtic Park / Ibrox/ Hampden . Or do you just call it from the armchair ? I have stacks of friends who follow both sides . We get on fine . Grow up

I actually was there , went to the game and stayed in the beautiful city of Sevilla which I fell in love with and now visit at least once a year . I would conservatively estimate 100,000 plus but I knew if I said that no one on this site would believe me . ☘

Celtic are a huge club rumour has it they get more at The Park watching the 'grass grow' than we do at Liberty home games , they certainly took in excess of 70,000 supporters to Seville in 2003. Anyone out there wouldn't take Rodgers over the schoolteacher ? Roberts , Forrest , McGregor over Dyer, Routledge and Narsingh. How about Scotty Brown over Clucas or Dembele over Wilfred ? The point is they are 'dining at the top table' and yes struggle badly with the likes of PSG , Bayern et al. but they do so at least trying to play football. Contrast that with last Saturday at Stoke or any other game this season . Get real guys , Swans are a million miles behind in terms of ambition with this clown at the helm . WTF is he still doing there.......o yes I remember he was inspirationally appointed and the powers that be think he's going to turn it around.......planet Zoot calling earth do you read me .......

In addition to not having a clue on Saturday last , allowing a full blown punch up to take place in the dressing room , he then went and slaughtered( slagged off ) half a dozen of his own team to Sparky post game . Wtf

The Manager is jettisoned immediately . Through work contacts attended the Stoke game and watched the game from the home
directors box. Subsequently met some of the hierarchy of the home club and in particular their football management team for an hour following the game . What an insight !!! To a man they are in no doubt that the Swans can get themselves out of this predicament . Without being disrespectful
it was overwhelmingly clear they were alluding to the appointment of an experienced team who know and understand the Premiership. We need to act now without any delay

Sack Clement

Clement is out of his depth . No track record , no experience to turn it around . Lost the dressing room weeks ago , lost the vast majority of the support weeks ago and is dying an undignified professional death. It wouldn't be tolerated in any other business , he's a dead man walking . A good experienced Manager who knows the game can turn this . Martin Michael O' Neill or Michael Martin O' Neill take your pick. Either is infinitely better than this total and utter clown

Despite what has been said in the past few weeks the current Swans squad is more than capable of getting us out of this ' hole' . Today no question was better . Would have loved three points but a point is not the end of the world . Be under no illusions Bournemouth were the wrong side of average today but bossed us first half . Second 45 Swans stronger. Clement is completely out of his depth and needs to be replaced immediately . He's been press ganged into selecting Mesa when he should have been in from the very start . Wilfred is the best back to goal frontman in the Prem. Get him fully fit with Abraham and there is a very real goal threat. Get a recognised experienced number 1 and Swans can comfortably avoid relegation and a dog fight in the closing weeks of the season

Celtic are going to get hammered
at 22:05 22 Nov 2017

PSG are likely to be last four, they have a budget which dwarfs most top European sides including Real , Barca et al . Yes out of their depth but those who understand anything about football will readily recognise the gulf . It actually was a feat in itself to get through the qualifiers into the group stages. Anyone out there who would not swap Rodgers for Clement need to theirs heads cut off not examined . Said it before I would take Tierney over Olsson, Lustig over Naughten, Swans haven't got a Scotty Brown anywhere in their ranks . McGregor , Sinclair , Forrest and Roberts would make the present match day Swans squad with Dembele and Griffiths offering much more of a threat off the bench than what Swans got to offer at present. Don't forget all this put together at slightly more than the Swans spent on Clucas.

Plea to the Board - Be Decisive Act Now

Read your post with interest. Excuse my ignorance but who is the Assistant Manager you refer to ? Is it the case that no follow up discussions took place as far as you are aware ?

Actually the decision to appoint was made Saturday , that the Board dragged their feet and failed to release until the pm today is hardly surprising , given we are dealing with potentially the most inept and ill equipped cross section of individuals God has ever put breath into !

Failing to dismiss Clement at this stage is another example of the piss poor general management that currently prevails at Board level . It is dangerous to make comparisons with this time last year and believe we have time on our side . Of the six home fixtures that have been played to date one would have expected a decent return . Being realistic prior to the season commencing we would have hoped for between 10-13 points . Man U - no points , Huddersfield / BHA / Watford 9 points . Newcastle and Leicester at least a point a game possibly more . The return has been 3 points . Putting aside the shocking performances that accompanied those results which provide no optimism whatsoever for the future , the run in of games at the end of the season pitches us against 3 of the likely top four sides ,two of which are away !!! Look at the last 7 games and on current performance the very best Could hope for is 7 / 8 points . Does anyone realistically believe Clement can turn that side around not only to win a game of football but also to nurture a winning mentality which they will undoubtedly need to for the rest of the season ? It may not be everyone's choice but he has an outstanding record in securing Prem status. Big Sam

I ask the rhetorical question , How can he possibly be worse than the present Manager ( and the one before him ) ? He knows the club , it's history , will galvanise and give direction to what is clearly a rudderless ship . Get him on board asap

Brendan Rodgers

Mickey Mouse league ! Pub side ! Firstly they give Bayern a game but lose 2-1 but in doing so ' have a go' , attack and on a different night could easily have had a point against a side who will make the last 8 at least of the champions league . Compare that with 'the might' of BHA coming to the Liberty ( a bang average championship side ) and playing the Swans off the paddock , without the home side raising a whimper. Playing personnel I would take Lustig over Naughton , Simunovoc over both Mawson and Fernandes , Tierney on a different planet to Olsson and Scotty Brown head and shoulders above anything that the Swans have in mid field . Armstrong is on the radar of half a dozen prem clubs , with Roberts , Sinclair and McGregor a better trio by a street over Dyer , Routledge and Narsingh. Just for the record Leigh Griff and Dembele would surely offer a better option off the bench than last Saturday's eclectic mix of mediocrity . Finally could anyone in their right mind chose Clement over Brendan . Ffs guys get a grip . Mr Chairman get on a plane get up to Glasgow with the cheque book and pay for once the going rate , get a recognised manager who has a good track record and understands the club to come back . What is being served up at present is the wrong side of pitiful . The guy Clement ( God love him ) is completely and utterly out of his depth and will never turn this situation around .The present predicament is far from irredeemable but the club needs to act now

Is Clement dying on his arse as he did at Derby? Posted originally April 2017
at 13:24 5 Nov 2017

After the Boxing Day non entity and then home game capitulation with Bournemouth on New Years Eve , the Board even at that stage still had a chance to salvage the season with an appointment to get the Club over the line . Redknapp was available and willing , Allardyce had been out of work for months twiddling his thumbs until Palace snagged him on Christmas Eve but the Board in their infinite wisdom sat on their arses throughout December and eventually decided Brad Bobbly could no longer be tolerated ......They then went and compounded all their previous misguided work and reverted to an applicant whom they passed over 3 months previously for Brad (following his skyped interview at that stage) and decided he was now the man .
Any reasonable enquiry with those at the helm
Or closely associated with Derby would have got the alarm bills ringing . A talent he may well be as a Coach is a world apart from being a Number 1 ,in a league and environment which is unrelenting in its pressures and ability to 'think on your feet' and adapt to circumstances which vary from minute to minute of each game let alone each fixture . After a decent start at Derby he fell away badly , started to regress into negative style football and struggled to deal with the merciless media scrutiny ! Ring any bells ???? I ask the rhetorical question , what business ( whatever field ) could excel and sustain such a systematic change of leadership (which I estimate is at least 7) since December 2015 and hope to succeed ? For the record Monk , Curt ( subsequently confirmed as permanent , then revoked) Guidolin , Curt again during latters illness , Bradley , Curt again then Clement

So if Clement has so much influence with players he has coached , why wasn't JT and a load of others snapped up or at least even spoken to in the January window ? Of course I remember now ( just like the changing room ) he doesn't have any influence . The Board aka Chairman went for the left of centre field choice and once again f##ked it up
. Going down entirely due to piss poor appointments over the last 18 months at Management level
