Which QPR player had the most dramatic fall from grace in your experience. What I mean by that who started absolutely great and ended up as one of the worst and how can we explain it all? Seems to happen to quite a few QPR players
Samba diakete was absolutely set to become a qpr favourite. He was absolutely mental - his Fulham display saw him chop down their opponents and get two yellow cards quickly and we all thought we had a head case. Then he really kicked on and his displays the rest of the season were immense. Loved him. He worked well with Taarabt, cisse etc
Then we signed him permanently I think and he just lost it. Does anyone know what happened and why? Was this mark hughes influence?
Hold on here guys ! Smyth cops a lot of abuse normally and now suddenly he’s a hero…
Can we all be a bit more realistic and admit that he’s a passionate footballer with limited ability. He will never stop running and he tries his hardest and can get an opposition defence panicked as he runs at them
But he hasn’t suddenly transformed into one of our great players because of one great well taken goal and a good cross the game before. His end product is poor and isn’t of championship standard and one of the reasons we have struggled
I like him and he would always be on bench for me with 10 mins to run at players at the end but let’s not pretend he’s anymore than that
I think one key business to do as soon as possible is sign up Saito! He is fantastic and provides so much for the team. Passionate about football and wears his heart on his sleeve
Has a number of assist or key set up and would have loads more if we could finish earlier in the season
I was surprised to see how much Norwich lost their heads. Yes we were good, much improved and forced them into this but I felt like Norwich completely lost their way - couldn’t string their passes together and a lot of their players were lucky not to get sent off
That greasy combover chap (was it sainz?) was completely out of order and complaining to ref all day
Also who was the player who shoved one of ours into the advertising boards / surely that’s a red as that’s malicious and not football
Onto our players, when Morrison upended their player when he lost the ball - was that almost deserving of red card? It was good tactical foul from our perspective but from a football perspective it’s cynical and not good for the game - thoughts?
Generally though I was happy with referee who called all the fouls right
Certainly not for saito who is great but smyth - as much as we love him has zero end product and I’m still shocked he’s a professional footballer with his lack of finishing and crossing abilities - and I hate myself saying this as he lives and breathes qpr and tries his absolute best
