"Our communities struggle with 'profit' and equate it to dodgy practice because they lack talent. An untalented person cannot make a profit without cheating."
I would respectfully suggest its opportunity and possibly confidence they lack.
No its because the club has gone backwards under thier ownership. We will continue to go backwards without prudent investment.
The only prospect of the owners getting any money back is that we get promotion. Andy Coleman has mentioned this is his aim. Continually degrading the playing squad is not going to it long term. So whats the plan Andy ?
I don't really blame him. That's a good job and we have little to offer, no money, appaling owners and a new chairman who seems to have a screw loose judging from his one and only tweet.
Not going back to the premiership days then. We seemed to have ignored last season too. Ok I will play along not every year has seen the league position get worse, How has the trajectory been under thier ownership then? If pedantry is your best defence.
Whatever money they may or may not have is immaterial to me.
What is material is that they club has gone backwards year on year under thier ownership. What is the plan the Steve to turn this around? Or must we continue to adjust our expectations downs is success now staying out of league 1?
I don't think its necessairly about debt, I would just like to feel the club was on an upward rather than a downward trajectory. Debt isnt bad in itself we all go into debt for mortgages or business loans etc in the expectation that there in a payback.
I realise of course this is subtle PR for the owners. Lets have five minutes and remember how the club has gome backwards under thier stewardship and compare our owners to those of Bournemouth or Brentford both who even now have smaller gates but would have us for breakfast both on and off the pitch.
I worked all the way through it too, as a Keyworker myself. Zero perks for me to. But then I didnt work on a COVID ward pulling 12 hour shifts in incredibly uncomfortable PPE nor am I a domestic or a porter and worked on a ward for little more than minimum wage putting my health on the line everyday.
Enjoying the calmer atmos of working from home (I know I am lucky) also discovering lots of new music, particularly recommend Seafret and Julia Holter.
