Fuller’s demise?
at 15:19 6 Mar 2025

Darker ales shouldn't be served ice cold because that reduces the flavour.

The same goes for stouts and porters which should never be flavoured with walnuts, marshmallows or whatever. I want to taste beer not a pudding.

However, a good quality IPA that's been chilled on a summer's day is a lovely thing.

As for lagers, I rarely drink them unless somewhere like Austria or Belgium where they are quite wonderful.

Agreed. He's not close to being ready for the senior squad and not physically strong enough either.

The beginnings of a world league perhaps? And when do players get an extended rest?

Yes, I remember you mentioning that Mick. Chamberlayne Road infants was further up the road going towards Willesden. So as perpignanR said, it would have been Harvist Road juniors, which was on the junction with Chamberlayne road, that you're referring to.

Chamberlayne Road infants, Kensal Rise
Harvist Road boys juniors, Kensal Rise
Salusbury Road junior high, Queens Park - just a two year school then and it was brilliant
Copeland secondary, Wembley. Awful. Just awful.

The DS lost 3-2 to Ipswich U21s today. Cian Dillon scored a brace which I think are his first goals for us.

I've stopped drinking at the ground this season and now thoroughly enjoy not waiting 20 minutes to get an overpriced crap beer.

I think the Bakerloo line from CX to Oxford Circus to get onto the Central line is a little quicker.

Coming from SE London it's a short drive to the station and then three trains. Takes around 1.5 hours but my train travel is free.

On my school trip to Calais in the early 1970s, the teachers warned us not to buy flick knives, so we all bought baguettes instead.

Yang next season ??

I don't think he's any better than Smyth, Dembele, Chair, Saito or even Kolli, and I'd far rather we played them.

I hope there's another reason for having him, such as building a good relationship with the Spurs and taking one or two others on loan next season in positions we really do need to strengthen.

I'm not sure why this summer would see a bigger churn of players. I think 5 to 6 incoming transfers would be about right, and so fewer than last summer.

I'm a little more critical of the overall performance than others on here. First, we didn't move the ball quickly enough back to front, but that's been a problem for much of this season. Secondly, when we go long, the ball either pings off Frey or there isn't a player close enough to him to challenge for the second ball. Thirdly, the lack of a clinical finish was very evident today.

That said, we did give it a go but sadly weren't good enough on the day.

If you like falafel, Mr Falafel makes the best wrap I know of. It's in the market just off the Uxbridge road.

Not traditional fayre of course!

Yep, I get the points you make and things may develop in the way you describe but it's too early to tell.

I don't think Starmer is able to play good cop to the EUs bad cop if that's what he's trying to do. Regardless of what he's attempting, he'll be forced to pick a side sooner or later.

At home Starmer is yet again on the wrong side of public opinion. Even most MS media side with Zelenskyy.

With many European countries coming out in support of Zelenskyy - including Germany and France - through his own choices, Starmer is stuck in the middle. I don't think it'll turn out to be a good place to be.
