Enjoyed today. Plenty of work to do, but no tippy-tappy, hard work and good tackling, willingness to play a long ball if it's right. It's all I ask. Lots of skill on the pitch. Henry and Beckwith look like excellent signings and McNicholas seems to know where to be in the box |

With this sort of philanthropic investor, I've always fantasised about an incentivised investment. Something like, after steadying the finances, they would put x% of the amount raised from season ticket sales into the club each year for five years. It would fire up the fan base to build the club.
Need to calm down. Getting a little over-excited. |

We tried something similar in Wakefield. A few of us got together to form a co-op to bring and old building that had been empty for a decade back to life (a co-op building as it happens). 450 people raised £250,000 in shares and then went on to raise another £4m.

Lambert's career speaks for itself, but at Dale, while his skill was amazing (those set pieces), he was often idle around the pitch. Holty on the other hand made your heart soar every time he got the ball - the unstoppable tank; Jenkins on crack. Forever remembered. |

Got me watching Rochdale in '64 and kept me there. Just glad I got the chance to shake his hand at the centenary and thank him for the thrills he gave me as a teenager.
The signed no. 10 shirt will always be on my wall.
