Your not wrong. Dirty sod that Clarke, deliberately pushing his face into Rathbones fist in the aftermath... Useless officiating. |

As I said previously.... smug, for no apparent reason. Never understood why anyone would take pleasure in the demise of a club (not that it’s happening here). Despite some protestations, some of you lot certainly would be laughing if Bury and or Latics went bust. Very very odd. Not that long ago the shoe was on the other foot. It will change again, 100% guaranteed. [Post edited 6 Jun 2018 19:18]

Because its not true? dunno? this is a mashup of old stories and rumours. Daily Mail... that bastion of honesty and integrity. The rumour doing the rounds is that Corney is trying to cause trouble by feeding shite to this hack. https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2018/june/06062018-abdallah-club-statement Now you might say "well, they would say that wouldn't they"... so... Supporters TRUST Statement (who have a seat on the board) Trust Oldham 4 hrs · In response to the recent article regarding the club, the Trust wish to reassure fans that we are fully aware of the real situation at the club and continue to closely monitor all aspects. As a Trust we have been given more access in the last 6 months since Abdallah took ownership, than we have ever had under the previous regime. Abdallah has been completely open with us since taking full control, and we continue to question, monitor and most importantly have an open dialogue with him. Abdallah is still finalising the transition of ownership, and dealing with the legacy of the previous regime, before he is able to roll out his own plans for the club. He has already shown his commitment to Oldham Athletic by investing considerable sums to cover many of these legacy issues plus the running costs for last season. The timing of this article and the one prior to our crucial final game of the season are not a coincidence. What’s most disappointing is, this is whilst employees at the club are working extremely hard in this crucial pre-season period to focus on making this coming season a successful one, as should we all. It is especially unfortunate that this article appears to be intended to create a feeling of negativity, in a week when we've had extremely positive news that the club have re-signed Jose Baxter and season ticket sales are higher than they have been for many years. |

Christ... Not long since heard Corney was the best thing ever? Are you just making this up? Do you recall the circumstances under which Corney came to be the owner and how long ago that was and how it wasn’t just him then and how the financial crisis happened and how the council fecked us over etc etc.? The situation is very clear now. AL owns 97% and The Trust 3%. The Trust has a voting seat on the board. Trust reps seem happy with what they know of Al so far and having met with him. Anyhow, best of luck for the season ahead. Hopefully we will renew acquaintances next season or within 21 years hopefully! I for one am more settled and optimistic than at any time in the last 10 years. [Post edited 11 May 2018 13:59]

The smugness of Dale fans never ceases to amaze me. Keep your powder dry. There but for the grace of god etc etc. It’s all cyclical. You’ll be in the shit (again) some day. It’s inevitable in football. Will that be the fans fault? No. |

What a ridiculous statement based on not having a clue about the situation It would be like saying the same about Bury once the current lunatic has left as chairman there. |

What are you on about? The club was sold to a new owner by Corney. Have you missed that bit? There aren’t any questions. The shareholding is on companies house for all to see. It’s very straight forward., I know you desire our downfall but that alone won’t make it happen. [Post edited 10 May 2018 15:33]

Barry Owen?? He was an insignificance. He left when the new owner bought in. If he hadn’t he would have def been pushed. The board is now Trust and the new owner. New owner bought the full 97% from Corney. Trust retains its 3% and a seat on the board. For some reason Corney decided to delay his resignation from board, so he was booted this week. |

yes... positive ones. I think some external observers are confused. Corney was hanging around like a bad smell since he sold. The new owner and other board members have effectively told him to feck off. This is good news. |

We haven’t won in 7, you’ve won 1 in 7. We have lost 1 in 7, you’ve lost 2 in 7. Don’t be so negative. We both win, Walsall lose their last two games and we both stay up. Easy. 😳 |

THE worst we have played all season with a makeshift defence full of kids, 3 of that 4 are not first choice. Still couldn’t beat us. On actual recent form, the last 6, Dale are one point better than Oldham. You need to be more realistic I think. For what it’s worth I think we both stay up. |

We are in 12 from last 8. For what’s it’s worth I don’t think either of us are going. Bury (obviously) and Northampton are gone. MK will soon follow. This game will be far more important for you I think, but whatever.... still think we will be seeing each other again next season. |

I'm flattered. Not sure I can help you. It is entirely possible that this is in relation to the ongoing HMRC SFO investigation into Prem clubs surrounding French player transfers in 2012 including the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea etc. We had players loaned to us from them at that time. Anyhow.... takeover is ongoing, new assistant manager will be announced by end of week and a couple of transfers in the pipeline. Good luck!! for the rest of the season. |

Bit touchy. Hill will leave one day, it’s not the end of the world when he does. |

Mostly the same players. It was stubbornness to ignore some new signings (linked to the potential new owner) that lead to Sheridan leaving. The new manager, a fresh approach coupled with 2 or 3 becoming regulars in the team started the changes that sees us top of the form tables. All managers have a shelf life. Sheridan ran out of ideas and influence. It happens. Can happen anywhere, to anyone...... |
