Well before. Classic Championship refereeing trick of realising you’ve given a corner wrongly so give a cheap free kick. |

Ideal opponent for him. Flat track bullies who didn’t like it up ‘em and nearly as slow. A lot to be said for a forward who can do the ugly stuff well and get the fancier players into the game higher up the pitch. I like Kolli but he’s not really a lone striker if he’s a striker at all. |

After head to head… - away goals - ‘penalty points’ for yellows and reds - straight red cards If all these are still even then it goes to a playoff. I quite like the idea of us and Preston having a one-off match at a neutral stadium to settle the matter of who finishes 15th but I guess they only bother if it means something. |

Some nice areas around it but it’s always been a bit of a dump IMO. A more expensive dump than when I grew up there. |

I wouldn’t read much into it but the Twitter yoof say he put out some Insta messages to suggest otherwise. |

Did anyone else see the bloke on Uxbridge Road at about 11:15 let off a yellow flare about 20 yards from a police van and get nicked? Old enough by a couple of decades to know better. |

As much as I like the idea of sending Santos to some old mining town and him coming back three stone heavier smoking 30 a day and killing wingers for a laugh I can’t see it. At best we might be able to send him back where he came from. |

It’s very unlike what I imagined Cleverley would build there and I watch them quite a bit. The goalkeeper gets pelters from the fanbase and is clearly not up to it. When Louza plays he adds some bollocks to their midfield but they’re sorely lacking in leadership. They’ve got two of the best attacking players in the league in Baah and Chakvetadze (did sod all today, mind) and then behind them you’ve got Sissoko strolling through the game, full-backs who find defending a bit beneath them and centre-halves slower than rust. I fancied us as soon as it started raining to be honest and having brunch with a Watford mate we agreed it was a likely outcome when the teams were announced. Won a few quid to top off the day. |

Given the tragic form of our ‘tens’ I would like see Kolli or Lloyd playing off Frey at some point. Frey up against Watford’s defence I’d quite like to see with someone within 20 yards of him preferably. |

I wonder how much of his wages we are paying. A chonky 75% I’d estimate. We’ll always have that time he nearly scored at home to Huddersfield. |

Not with that complexion. Moscow maybe. |

Fortunately if you’re on Twitter your algorithm isn’t constantly showing you what are presumably children insisting he’s brilliant at the pre-assist if played as a false 8.5 and that actually Smyth and Field are the problem. |

Straight after the Nardi save from the header he just wafts a foot somewhere near the ball when it needed to be booted anywhere. It’s like he’s high. |

I’m not an Ashby fan but I thought he was fine today. Sainz was reasonably quiet and they targeted his side for the first hour or so without much success. With a full squad we probably hold out today but the lack of depth did for us in the end. Andersen was again pony and Madsen not much better. You can’t play in that position and consistently create nothing. Morgan looks a real player. Tough game to go into again and he looked more than capable. My MOTM of the outfield players. |

We’re fortunate Field is almost always available as we could certainly have done with him today. |

Tend to agree but we have a, theoretically, very highly rated ref who will manage the game better than what we’re used to. I think the reaction to the home game was mainly Twitter weirdos and it doesn’t affect the players much. As a betting man I’d be looking at Norwich on the handicap realistically. |
