My son said that was his favourite game he's been to. Two goals right in front of us (one of them a last minute Jimmy Dunne winner), Sam Field and his water bottle antics and a lively crowd singing all the way down Loftus road on the way out. It's been a great few weeks.
Ashby wasn't brilliant and his passing was a bit off. However there was a pass he kept trying where he cut in in his right foot and tried to find a more advanced midfielder in the middle. He rarely pulled it off but I liked the idea as if pulled off it would have got us away on the break nicely.
Thank goodness it was my wife's work Christmas party tonight so I had to stay home with the kids and watch it on TV. Can't remember anything of note in that first half.
Singing ,"Cry in a minute, you're gonna cry in a minute." to their centre back was one of the highlights of the game for me. He had several hilarious hissy fits.
I'm not a fan. I thought he got us into trouble a few times yesterday with poor passing or dithering on the ball. His delivery for the goal was good but I thought we were better defensively with Ashby in the second half. I'd be happy to see Ashby ahead of him for now, especially if he's not signing a new contract.
Shout out for Ashby tonight. I thought he was excellent in the second half and I'd rather see him in the starting 11 than Paal who I thought was shaky apart from the shot and delivery for Koli's first goal.
What a fantastic day! My six year old was nearly frozen solid by the end but we stayed on to cheer the players off. Coming out of the ground and walking down Loftus Road it was like we'd just won a cup final. These moments are few and far between but they're what makes supporting our team special. Come on you Rs!
That's a bit harsh on Ashby. The ball was dropping from a good height and he had to connect with it on the run. It was a big chance but not such a simple one.
Great week. Two clean sheets and 5 points. We're moving in the right direction. Hopefully a bit more belief amongst fans and players that we can get ourselves out of this.
That was a good moment but generally I think he looks pretty knackered after and hour or so. We were very vulnerable down the left hand side for most of the second half. I'm a big fan of Saito, we just need some more quality off the bench to give him a rest in some games.
With two tough games coming up that really was a huge win. Is Frey back for Oxford? Bit of a worry how Saito fades in a game. Fantastic for about an hour then pretty much baggage even though he's still trying.
