What’s this bS about him not being offered a new deal, he was and he verbally agreed to sign it with his old agent before sacking him for turning down Everton’s initial interest, and promptly changed agents. Immediately his new agent asked to renegotiate his terms again, at best he tried to use Everton interest as leverage, but the truth is, he left because he was offered a more lucrative stepping stone to where he ultimately wants to get in his own career. |

Sounds suspiciously like you are saying that Van Dijk and Liverpool have been used, and are the victims in something they are not complicit in. Wasserman may have been, manipulating Vvd, but he and Liverpool Fc have been happy all along to treat Saints shabbily, with a complete lack of respect, and utter contempt. They have ensured there has been a steady stream of ex players briefing the media, and making sensationalist statements, designed to keep the pressure up on Saints to sell. We've even seen Steven Gerrard (a current Lfc employee) repeatedly interviewed on Tv about how he believes Vvd should move there. It's got to the point where if the Premier League had a shred of integrity, they'd sanction Liverpool for compromising the integrity of the competition. This is the same game the big clubs have played for years but now it's on steroids, to maintain the status quo, the biggest clubs pick off the talent from up and coming teams to protect the big club cartel, something that is supported and endorsed by the Premier league their willingness to effectively look the other way when it comes to these sort of underhand attempts, to undermine our club, Rob Jassen may be trying his best to screw Saints over, but considering he's had a long relationship with Liverpool Fc since at least the days he was Dirk Kuyt's agent, then he does so hand in hand with the appalling Red scum from Merseyside, also known as Liverpool Fc !! |

Truth is the club has put itself in this position by getting player/managers here or keeping them here (short term) by marketing our club as a stepping stone, as this has clearly proven profitable. At 1st we were told this was part of a wider master plan, and that those departing would be replaced with the money generated from the sales, now the club doesn't even bother to put out a (Ralph Kruger "I promise the fans they will have a team to be excited about") statement to reassure fans, because a lot Saints fans are already mentally conditioned to the way the club want them to think. The club want us all to believe that we as a club know something nobody else does, and that by continually selling out best players at a profit (in addition to trousering tens of millions in tv money) we in some way fulfill our own ambitions, I don't believe that a feel they are simply profiteering from our fortunate recent success while they can, in short we are being short changed. In no other sports team I'm aware of, have you ever been able to improve you team year on year by removing it's strongest components. We are being sold a pup, where the f"*k is all the TV money going each year, as we don't even seem to reinvest all the money brought in, we have received millions more in income (fee's received mainly) yet as I sit here writing this we WBA bidding £21m for the calibration of player we should be signing how are all these sales in recent years are we in a position where we are fans know full well Saints wouldn't even make a bid that big it's embarrassing that we are being made to mindless simpletons who blindly believe anything our club tell us, remember how it went prior to Markus, he saved us not these people in charge of the club now, they are all just profiting from his legacy !!! |

Get rid of him he is all that is wrong with too many players nowadays. Look at Payet at West Ham, signs a new deal clearly has bought into the club, it's fans and its future, and signing a new deal to cement at least his medium term future to them. Feels like "The Flighty Kenyan" has been angeling for a move for half the time he's been playing for us. Frankly I find it incredibly insulting to our club and to us fans. The sendings off are symptomatic of his complete disregard for our clubs ambitions, success or even how you and I might feel, surely we should sell him before they rumble he can place a pass accurately over 25 yards too !! |

Good article agree it's up to us fans how much confidence our team has when thing don't go our way playing the way we do. But I fear that as we have a number of pompey-type fans who don't appreciate that the odd mistake is price you pay for the success we have had so far, and the way we play, we will soon see the players being harangued and confidence subside if see even a mini dip in form. |

I agree that for the best team at Old Trafford we should pick horses for courses. Although I'd like maybe chambers in at right back, Clyne at left back and Luke pushed up into midfield, with dropping to the bench ready for the call to come on and finish em off.
I also think your doing Anti Niemi a disservice with regard to best Keeper since shilton, do you not remember the fantastic triple save in front of astonished Arsenal players amongst a back catalogue of fine saves in a Saints shirt ?, boruc is superb too & in great form, but for me Niemi was as exciting & formidable a keeper as any I've seen since Shilton. |

Is it his fault that in doing the job he was bought in to do ie: help the club to promotion from league 1. He now finds that the club has rapidly progressed far beyond that level? He has as part of the team, actually done pretty well to be where we are today, and just like Dean Hammond, Frazer Richardson, Richard Chaplow and many others, as we continue to progress each has or will find their level, and be replaced by someone with more ability. You can't hold it against individual players, if as a result of their hard work as part of the team, the club progresses beyond their own individual level of ability !! |

The squad may have improved over the last twelve matches, and deserve credit for their efforts .. But lets not forget they are only a few suspensions/injuries away from potentially another poor run imho. We don't need to go crazy, but I feel the squad would better for another quality forward ( JR = lite weight Championship player) we need regular goals from someone else other than SRL, quality winger to compete with GR/AL/JP and keep them on their toes, and dare I say it, but also another cb. |
