For those who think Sport Republic want a Championship club
at 17:00 9 Jan 2025

I keep being told they have the money.

But PSR rules preclude them from spending it.

I think that while my 2nd sentence is correct, I have my doubts about the 1st sentence.

Everton Sack Sean Dyche
at 16:59 9 Jan 2025

We should have got Dyche in when we got rid of Hassenhutl.

He was available at the time.

Everton have gone back to being a basket case again.

Saints Get Pricing Badly Wrong As Set For Lowest FA Cup Attendance in 15 Years
at 11:06 9 Jan 2025

People seem to be missing the bigger picture re the Swansea game.

It could potentially represent very good value.

120 minutes plus the drama of a penalty shoot-out.

There should be an absolute clamour for tickets.

VILLA WINGER PHILOGENE SIGNING FOR £21 MILLION!!!!!!

I thought Fernandes was Alcaraz's replacement.

Which I guess leaves the big gap of Stu Armstrong not replaced.

Or David Brooks.....

It's all about geeks watching football all day on their laptops, and collating copious spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations.

I'm sure we could all do just as good a job.....

He is interested in Liverpool.

I am sure his far-right views would be well-received there.....

For Ipswich.....

A bit deja vu, all this.

He was decent for Hull last season.

JOKE DU JOUR wrapped up for today.

Even in the worst of times, this forum still provides high comedy.

Thank you sir, you made me chuckle there.

Sorry mate, I sadly seem to make a bit of specialism of this.

Best avoided at the pub, anybody will tell you this about me.

But we have super-duper gulags and a pub in our ground.

This proves we are massive.

A boring accountant has also noted on here in the past that it's a bit of a VAT ruse, as the booking fee attracts no VAT.

The club therefore keep all of it.

They would actually be better off if they reduced the ticket price but increased the booking fee by an equivalent amount.

I do wonder if there are one or two people out there biding their time waiting to make an offer to buy the Club.

Asking price should be dropping like a stone over the next few months.

Agree with an awful lot of this.

I also think back to when I was in my early 20's, and remember going to a SISA meeting at Hulse Road Social Club about the Branfoot protests, and being genuinely in awe of the passionate speeches given on the stage by the likes of Comrades MacMillan, Chorley and Clive. It made me want to protest in the Dell car park and in the ground after the Newcastle game in October 1993, which I duly did.

These days most of our younger element seem to be led by "influencers" such as Saint Rob and Football Martin. Our society has changed into a social media led vaccum.

It's a sad state of affairs.

Dom Ballard Recalled from Loan
at 09:44 7 Jan 2025

Saints' predicament is not making me feel particularly gracious.

Sadio Mane did have some horror games for us, particularly at Bramall Lane in the League Cup, but I don't think he had a particularly bad time from fans. It was clear that he was trying his utmost even when things weren't going well.

Sulemana however gives the look of not giving the slightest bit of interest. Juric would do well to make sure he doesn't pick him again, and hopefully he will leave the club this month.

Re Dom Ballard, I think he could certainly do a job in the Championship, and from there, who knows?

It all depends on what one means by “making it”.

Kamaldeen Sulemana could be deemed to be “making it” as we have made him a very rich man.

The fact that he is an utterly useless piece of shit is possibly irrelevant (?).
