Millwall keepers sending off
at 09:29 2 Mar 2025

The Germans were given a goal kick if I remember the Schumacher incident properly. Watching it at the time (one of the most thrilling games I’ve ever seen), it didn’t seem that outlandish at the time, perhaps because I was following the ball. Replays told a different story!

Mateta fouled his man, free kick to Millwall!

You would imagine the police had more urgent claims on their time, without inventing crime. Good on her for resisting re-education. And yes, Newcastle are within their rights to exclude whoever they want to, even if none of this “hate speech” occurred in a football ground, but they can leave the police out of it.

Thanking the authorities for their “reeducation” undertaken on the threat of prosecution is kiss-the-lash grotesque, particularly as what’s legal and illegal seems to stem from bureaucratic fiat - see the current Sandie Peggie/NHS Fife case. Ban people from private property if you don’t like their behaviour, but prosecution? How long have we been at war with Eastasia?

Successfully locked his mother into a long term contract with service guarantees and secured rolling options on his father with punitive break clauses.

Was anyone so aptly named? The only player of ours I’ve ever booed, and that’s when the Knut pulled his finger out sufficiently to score a goal.

Bstard still owes my Dad for his bathroom in 1976.

Greatest opening sequence ever, with added KrautProg.

In memory of Gene Hackman, a fascinating little talk on the music for the French Connection.

95! Pretty tragic that his wife of 63 is dead too, what’s that about?

Amazing he played Harry Caul, Harry Mosby and Popeye Doyle (in FC2) in the course of a year or two, 1974-75.

I only saw the last 30 minutes, apart from Doughty both sides were pretty rotten. That’s a really strange and disappointing move for Isiah Jones, he looked a real prospect when he first turned out at Middlesbrough.

He never inspired the same affection for a number of reasons, but John Spencer was the best finisher I’ve seen in hoops.

Leeds, Sheffield United, Burnley, Sunderland. They don’t exactly get the heart racing. I suppose we’ll get Ipswich back for fun and frolics next season.

It’s possible that none of Paul Le Guen, Pedro Caixinha and the current fella, Phillipe Clement were brought up Catholic, but I doubt it.

Apparently before we beat Oxford we’d gone 12 games without a win against promoted teams.
