You’re describing a player who is THE clear front runner for POTY

I knew we were pretty shit but things must be worse than I thought

Unless, of course, you’ve just had a good bang on the pipe

Yeah

I mean Alfie has a lot to learn
In a few years time he’ll be able to anticipate a forearm smash in the mush off the ball as he runs into space for a channel ball.

Ref had a great game and wasn’t a fat off the pace gutless homer at all

Our man Chair is starting to concern me

Piss poor with Paal for the second.
He’s just not the player we know he is this season and just seems to run into people.

I can see Saito or the Korean coming on for him on 60

Farewell Sir James Dunne

We will miss you in more ways than one.
A man amongst men, 100% the minimum and a catalyst for fortunes changing two seasons in a row.

Over to you to fill this big hole Master Nourry

Seen a few posts here alluding to Jimmy being no more than a CB who was put at RB for the flick ons and a free kick battering ram.
I’d suggest if you don’t think that James can drop the shoulder and beat a man, overlap, rampage down the line or score a few deft goals then, you’ve not really been paying attention.

His form had a wobble a while ago and maybe Marti was looking at his position in the team, but many of us could see Jimmy was the player he is. More than that, he’s a man in the Macca mould, that alone is high praise.

I really was hoping this was ChatGPNourry classic of saving good news but alas it seems that Jimmy may be off. If so that is a real shame and will be bad news short term for the club.

It’s frightening that it might mean Ashby for the rest of the season.
If so a battle at the wrong end again would not surprise me. I would not be able to attend any further games as Ashby will either get me arrested or give me health issues.

I feel the club has yet again fkd up here and it’ll be another really poor mark against the board for a great player to leave for a fee way below their worth.

Hopefully Jimmy will sign but if hes not in squad and a starter tomorrow then it’s farewell

I recalled it said he had “the least chance k of a young Wayne Rooney” by some…. Chunky young fella

It looks like another wasted £250k transfer fee plus wages since to me

Please can I request that when you talk about the man your tone is more hushed and respectful and maybe you drop the odd “King Willo” or “God” reference?

Simply the best.
My all time favourite player.
We’ve not had a left back like him since and I still say the loss of him effected us as much as Sir Les leaving

I’ve already invited this fella to dinner with two of my friends but had to cancel when my friends rang me sick.
Yang couldn’t believe it when I told him

“Kim ,John ill ?!? “ he said incredulously

I’ll get my centre parting……..

I bought a broom off this fella in a market in Peckham.

He said he'd had it 17 years and in that time he's only had to replace the head three times and the handle twice.

I reckon it'll last me a lifetime

Abuse in modern football

To answer the OP question

In my opinion a huge factor is this culture of everyone having the right to be morally outraged and an increasing number abusing the privilege
You’ll find those self same people can’t take anything on the chin but very quick to mouth off.

We also have a culture of “instantism” now; everyone wants everything, they want it now and scream if they don’t get it.

You mention football and it’s a great example but same rings true in many industries; Construction a fine example (highest male suicide in the 20’s to 40’s bracket in the UK is no shock)

Could you add “my bladder after 2 pints nowadays” in the bits outside the circle?

Then it’s something I’ll print out and be able to live my life by

Thanks
