Feels to me all this cup final malarkey only started once Troy Deeney said it and the fans just follow it like sheep. Not a single QPR fan i know has felt Watford were anything such like or remotely close. |

Coldest was at Loftus Road (Feb 2006) but Iceland v Trinidad & Tobago in a friendly. Never experienced that coldness before or since, not even oop norf. Wettest was QPR v Reading, Simod cup thingy (or similar sponsor). In the walk from White City station to the ground the heavens opened and it absolutely deluged, far more than yesterday. Got absolutely soaked. Kick off delayed and had to sit there drenched. Game eventually started and I think we lost 3-1. Got home thoroughly miserable and wet from head to toe. Hmmmm, tough one to call. Still a long way to go and clubs can still nosedive or climb over the next few months. Chelsea aside I don’t really hate any club but I do have a tingling for Derby. There’s something about them that makes them think they are some kind of big club. They’re not, they really aren’t. A purple patch in the early-mid 70’s….tier 2 champions in ‘87, that’s it. Since then we have been League title runners up, FA Cup finalists, League Cup finalists, League cup semi finalists and 2nd tier champions twice. They really do have a superiority complex when they are no bigger or better than loads of other clubs. So, I hope they go down |

OK, I’ll start this one… “Bachmann Turned Over, QPR drive” (ok, not that good) “Header! Header! Header!” (think Tora Tora Tora) “Baah humbug” (seasonal ;) ) “Smyth toys with Watford” (see what I did there) |

Really enjoyed that as did my kids. Finally seeing their beaming faces after so many abject defeats. Smyth deserved MOM though Dunne a knat’s cock behind. Sat at the front of the lower school end (in the highlights you can see us behind the goal by virtue of my daughters bright pink goalie top) and one thing you really sense is just how fast and brutal everything is. You just don’t get that on tv. I thought Watford were useful, especially their #34 (was that Baah?) but the difference is we took our chances with aplomb, they didn’t. You can have all the possession, shots, corners etc but counts for nothing if you don’t score. Not sure what to make of the ref, both sets of fans singing “you don’t know what you’re doing” at various points in the game. Happy New Year to you all |

They’re not near Fulham, they are in Fulham itself. In fact, both clubs are just inside the border. Fulham fc to the west and Chelsea to the east. Love the fact that Chelsea’s postal address is Fulham Road and tube station is Fulham Broadway. |

He didn’t do ok at Derby. The points deductions masks this. Give them the points back and they’d have been 16th which is way under expectations especially with the players at his disposal. They didn’t win a single away game the second half of the season. Was so happy we relegated them with a 90th minute 1-0 win. Was there with my son. Second time we got a late winner against them that season plus the play off final of course. Edit: I do respect that he has at least given management a go but everywhere he’s been, including the US where he also underperformed, he’s shown it’s just not for him. Needs to find another hobby to keep out of the house. Edit edit: From the BBC Sport page “ The Home Park hierarchy were quick to say that he had been impressive when interviewing for the job…..” I mean, that’s just crass stupidity. People can either be naturally good at interviews or trained well how to perform in them. I’ve worked with people who I found out later “interviewed well” but were awful at the job. Depending on the questions asked and the answers given, we could be talking borderline lying, bull$hitting at best. Will always get found out in the end. [Post edited 31 Dec 2024 15:53]

First game of the season for me and the kids and would love a win and a couple of goals. They’ve been to a few games the last year or two and it’s been truly awful so really need something otherwise they may never want to go back and the family support of QPR will have started and ended with just me and my brother. |

To paraphrase Mr Keegan, I would love it, just love it, if they went down. It’s unlikely to happen but would be 1000x worse than the w@ankfest Leeds get. |

“Limited interruptions” Is what Amazon Prime call ‘adverts’. Why not just call them adverts, they already have a name. This trend the last few years of sanitising everything is doing my nut in. |

Just booked tickets for the Watford game so, naturally, desperate for a win on that one. Will be me & the kids first game of the season and apart from Preston some 18 months ago, we've have not seen a home win in multiple visits (sorry, I'm not a jinx, promise, we've had such shite form the last couple of years) [Post edited 23 Dec 2024 15:46]

Make a statement then end with “prove me wrong” or similar. Yet another fkin annoying SM behaviour. |

What TheChef said. For years we'd been crying out for some kind of technological help like this and when it arrived, it's utter schite. People still talk about VAR as thought it's electronically automated. It's not, it's bumbling idiots in a room drawing lines with microsoft paint across a screen. So, the human element is still involved and clearly shown to be utterly incapable and not seemingly able to handle the pressure. It has to work, 100%, or not at all. Try telling Huddersfield fans any different. |

*pedant warning* - "8 track" doesn't refer specifically to the number of songs contained (though, of course, it can hold eight if they all fit as it's capacity was around eighty minutes of music). It's the number of channels available i.e. stereo would be two. But yes, hearing the same 8 christmas songs on loop all day would do the same to me too! |

Can you imagine working in a superstore like Sainsbury's, Tesco etc where it's Christmas music all day long for weeks on end. Guantanamo Bay is Hotel Paradise by comparison. |
