The present squad is doing a fine job with the resources they got. Swansea do not have enough deep in the squad anyway to get promoted when this season is over. Maybe the plan is to rebuild the squad in the next couple of years - if so the strategy is not so bad. |

It is a very complex question. You could say saving money (selling expensive players and cutting wages) save the club for ALOT of money, which slowly can be reinvested in a new strong team during the next couple of years. A slowly rebuilt. It could also be that the Americans think the chances of promotion is so slim it is the best way to regain some money (which otherwise would be lost) What strike me is still, what is the overall plan to rebuild a clearly broken team? - how do they want to play? - I can not really see it. Maybe it is because the same people which broke the teams identity is still in charge. Rebuilding a club identity so badly broken as Swansea takes years. Would rather spent 5 years in the Championship rebuilding the team then playing crap in PL next year. [Post edited 2 Sep 2018 7:46]

Would gladly wait 5-10 years until Swansea play attractive football again. Right now it is more fun to talk with my mother in law then see Swansea play. |

The outstanding idea with that kind of Swansea football was that we wanted a kind of player like Dyer, Routledge and Britton, small, gifted players, which was leftovers in the PL, Championship and extremely cheap in the La Liga. [Post edited 21 May 2018 20:08]

Swansea should begin with, stop buying overpriced PL and Championship players. Use money on a good scouting structure in Spain and Portugal instead. |

Agree you may ask what is the point getting 30-40 million pound for Mawson if all the money just roll to USA. If the club sell Mawson (which i think they should), Mesa, Fabianski and the old Ayew for 60-70 million pound combined, they should use it to rebuilt the squad. |

First the club need to get ride of the morons in charge. Now we have had 3 years with absolutely no idea in an overall club identity and playing style. If they don’t leave buying new players is pointless. Would rather stay 5 years in the championship rebuilding a unique identity and style then watch that crap style we are playing in the moment in PL again in 12 months. [Post edited 12 May 2018 22:21]

As far as I cknow, Swansea will get some PL money (only) next season. Only if players have a contract which end this summer, or they have written in their contract that they can leave if the club gets relegated. So the club has to decide. Will the club rebuilt the old Swansea which proberly will take 3-4 years (sell all the expensive players now) or will they go for a return to PL in 2019-2020 (and keep a core of present PL players). Personal i hope the first. No point in returning to PL with the present game philosophy. [Post edited 10 May 2018 12:39]

Bony is an outstanding PL striker. His problem is not about his talent. It is his injurys |

The reality is that most Premier League teams, midtabel and low-tabel teams play insanely boring. They play defensiv, do not want the ball and only go for counterattack (as we do at the moment cause survial is everything this spring). Playing "the Swansea way" did not cost more money then how we play now, because we went for other types of players then the rest of the Premier League. Personal I liked "the Swansea way". I am romantic when it comes to football. [Post edited 20 Mar 2018 20:39]

Did Swansea stand a chance with 10 players against a poor team as Huddersfield? - for some reason it was portrait in the media as we were playing against Barcelona. Swansea should have been more agressive - defend deep and waited for lethal counterattacks - instead we played like Man. United. |
| Forum Reply | Andre Ayew at 20:42 3 Mar 2018
Andre has one quality that Gylfi also had. No matter how crappy the rest of the team plays, they just do their thing - score 1-2 goals. It is called class. |

The only reason why former managers make these interview bullshites after they get sacked, is to try to look better. They bend reality to fit into this concept/idea. [Post edited 3 Feb 2018 14:27]
