The Boro Match thread.

Colback played like someone with an eye on staying fit in order to get a new club, as did Paal. Madsen.... bottled a 50/50 with us potentially in a good position. We need to take it on the chin and move him on. Not expecting payment. There is absolutely no point in him being in the match day squad

OK, thought the initial series would be a one-off, given where it ended. Will definitely watch the second run, I had no idea of the premise of the first one, it went to places I didn't expect. Bleakly brilliant and genuinely funny.

Absolutely not. As the op clearly stated, it's about the players he has available to him.
Big summer coming up.....hopefully spurs don't need too many pups breaking in.

Highly likeable young man, but nowhere near good enough at the moment. 22 next month.
However, second to none in his ability to hold out his hands questioningly while asking 'what?'. Getting penalised for what he hasn't done because of all the things he has done.
A player I really hope improves quickly for everyone's sake, but right now I don't see it.

Anyway, Yang's performances are increasing the prospects of him getting a season long loan at Rangers week by week.........

But he clearly states Marti is not the problem!
I think people are reading what they want to read into what he said, as opposed to what he actually said

It's a big summer. We probably lose our experienced players at the end of the season, another transfer window full of signing players with no championship experience will put us in a very risky situation. But signing older players goes against our stated policy. I wish them well squaring that circle.

With the team we put out, going a goal down against a Tony Mowbray team who then went down to ten men probably killed any hope we had of scoring.
I was quite surprised by WBA's lack of endeavour before their fortunate goal though, considering their high position and what they faced.
Colbacks tired lofted balls into the box at the end had me tearing my hair out, though. We were a team full of number 10's who had no imagination.

TBH, I didn't take the op as a criticism of Marti, but of the squad he's been given. I kind of agree, albeit baring in mind our finances.

Love his attitude, but I see nothing from him that you won't get off a decent non-league striker.

Colback....ffs

Edit - talking about Lloyd

It'd be interesting to see the frequency of player loans in relation to the disbanding of the football combination

I'd love to know the ins and outs of the Yang deal, the costs and benefits to us, whether Marti did indeed want him, if there's any obligation to play him.
I was against it from the start purely, and probably irrationally, because the deal, with no itk knowledge, has a 'feeder club' feel about it, a feeling not eased in anyway by watching him make the naive mistake that led to sheff utds first on Saturday. He's getting up to speed in our time, not in Tottenhams.
Having said that, the bigger concern with that goal was Nardi's failure to come off his line, again. His inability to claim crosses/corners is starting to hurt us.

The only way the Chagos islands deal makes sense is if it's England trying to create more 'allowable costs' so as not to breach Ffp rules
