It could still be possible that he HAS signed a new deal, with the plan being to announce it on a rainy day, and coincidently SU or whoever made an offer in between.
Seems brave to turn down £2m on a player with 6 months left. Maybe that bravery comes from knowing he’s tied down for a few years.

That’s a shame for him if true. There is a club further down the chain missing out on a dedicated RB/CB that is shooting itself in the foot if it’s applying those perimeters.

I don’t agree he ever cost us a goal per game, but I’m not a football guy so there is probably something technical I’m missing.

It’s an old trope we like to throw around about British & Irish players sometimes, especially CBs. Someone said it about Cook too recently which made me raise an eyebrow. It something we need to get over as a nation. Those days are gone.
His balllplaying is fine. Can’t remember him giving too many balls away. He was brought in by Warburton who didn’t sign players who couldn’t distribute.

Remember Onouha on his podcast saying QPR strung him along with promises of a decent contract when interest came in for him, then offered him a reduced contract after he’d said he’d stay.
