Never been a user of Twitter, Facebook, X, Instagram, etc. etc. but thought I would try to sign up to see what this is all about. Alas, my username is already taken. Think I’ll stick to this forum after all |

We need more skilful creative players capable of creating & bagging a few goals. Nice to have but nowhere the near the type of player of what we need right now - maybe someone we could look at when Allen & Naughton disappear from the books |

My guess is a few hundred thousand maximum. It has been reported that Nathan Wood went for between £2-3m - info in the latest reports is that included compo for RM breach of contract |

Feeling sorry for him is one thing but quite a few think he is going to be the answer to our attacking woes & lack of creativity. I hope he eventually delivers something or there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans |

Not sure I get this ‘love-in’ for Ginelly. Wonder goal against Northampton aside just what is all this optimism based on ? |

No matter what the handball law there will always be an element of interpretation down to the referee. Never in my lifetime (yet) have I ever witnessed a referee give a decision like that to us in the 92nd minute to decide a game. A big call and it appeared that he waited for the linesman’s view who was far further away from the incident than he was. The rule needs a review for sure but refereeing standards are just atrocious & inconsistent |

That kid doesn’t look old enough to have even been around when such incidents happened. I guess that’s what you get with these inbred valleys types who follow the scum |

A question that I always ask myself in the heat of a match defining decision like that is if that happened at the other end of the pitch would the decision have been the same ? … my conclusion in this instance is never in a million years would we have got that decision. Shocker |

I’d be surprised if there are more a handful (if any) away games that they haven’t sold out in the last 5-10 years |

Bad loser, entitled, there’s a few of them about |

They will also know that to replace them with anything like the same quality is going to cost them - surely it makes sense to offer them decent contracts & look to sell to get the money back later - this looks like it’s about egos & has turned in to a stand off instead of a negotiation |

If we carry on playing on the front foot from the start & put in a 90 minute performance I don’t see why we couldn’t get something at Burnley - dare I say it I’m starting feel a bit more confident despite the behind the scenes shambles & failings of the ownership |

That sounds quite serious then. He is capable of giving us some good energy off the bench but should be nowhere near the starting eleven. creates next to nothing |

Good performance, well deserved win. Some poor defending but we got away with it (as did they), poor substitutions maybe, weak squad depth definitely. If we had got what we deserved last week we would be sitting pretty. |

I originally thought 7-8 points ( from the 6 games) would be pretty decent - now 4 points would exceed my revised expectations [Post edited 27 Oct 18:57]

I’m not disagreeing with you ! LW has had more than enough time to stamp his style on the squad. It is not very exciting to watch - a lot of that is to do with the way that the players are coached. The football is boring, the quality of players, their attributes & skill sets that they have do not suggest to me that they are capable of playing ‘exciting’ football at this level [Post edited 25 Oct 17:34]

It took about half a season (it was after Christmas) for Potter to show what he could get out of the players that he had. It was the last time that we played fast attacking football. The football got better through the season & it was the last time I felt excited that we had some players who could develop, make a challenge on the top half & be exciting with it. Unfortunately Brighton could see what Potter was capable of & the most exciting player (Daniel James) was sold. We have rarely been a good watch since. |

Plays well 1 game in 4 was the viewpoint that caught my eye. Pretty much sums him up, very little contribution when he’s not on it. Shame really |
