Going back to early 80's, I had an uncle that had both a Saints and Bournemouth season ticket. He sadly passed away, many years ago, but was proud that he supported both. Admittedly, there was a big gap then between Saints and Bournemouth, but how times have changed. |

We are effectively down, and if we can get £5m for a player whose contract is out in June, it makes sense. I wouldn't begrudge him a move now given our predicament and staying with us when we went down.
Everton are not really a rival to us for last drop spot. They are 17 points ahead of us (18 if you include goal difference). I can't even see us getting 23 points , what Everton have now.. |

I wasn't there yesterday, but this is usually a tell tale sign. As for £5m, I can't see us getting that from a club who are skint and knowing he is out of contract in June. However, they may want to secure his services now, knowing there will be competition for his signature when he is a free agent? |

Many of the issues surrounding substitutions and trying to pick the best 11, emanates from the depth of quality and consistency throughout the squad.
We bring a player on as a substitute , (and this goes for many of them), and some play well and they force their way into starting 11 for next game, they then play like a donkey. It's no wonder, Juric has issues, picking his best team, when they are so inconsistent and unreliable.
There is not a single player in this squad, that has delivered 3 good performances on the spin. (Ramsdale is probably the only exception). [Post edited 26 Jan 11:20]

He's not going anywhere in this window. He will just ride out his contract that expires in June.
I would be surprised if he ended up in Turkey. He's too good for that league and is still only 27.
Other 'unfounded' rumours include a move to Everton. |

Ipswich are in free fall as well now. Should be an interesting game next week. I couldn't go today, but have a ticket for Ipswich. It's a meaningless game now for Saints, but Ipswich must be banking on this. [Post edited 25 Jan 17:13]

I dont see the need for the ref to go to the monitor. Surely 3 people in a room playing replays 10's of times, should be able to make a decision ?
They took an age reviewing it. If they can't do it in 60 seconds, it is not clear and obvious.

Hope he gets some coaching as well as fitness, to help stop shots outside the box, manage crosses and stop gifting goals away by p***ng around at the back. I have probably seen enough for Saints to just let him go. He is a liability, and definitely not Prem standard. There are better keepers around in Championship.
Mention has been of the unbeaten run last season, but we still let in 63 goals, one of the worst in that division. |

Is there any benefit in panic buying in January ? We are effectively down. Nobody releases decent players in January and whoever they bring in will not keep us up.
Suggest we start planning for next seasons targets. |
