Beautiful women sports stars

41 years for drug free athletes to catch up with these cheats. Keely Hodgkinson is apparently going to attempt to beat the women’s 800m world record next season.

I don’t mean this in an arrogant way but I’d snap your arm off to have him as DoF (or manager) again.

There is a lot of staged nonsense and people making outlandish/ignorant statements simply for attention. When clicks = Money it’s always going to attract morons on the make. Also lots of people just like the attention and the chance to vent their bulging, toxic spleens.

The difference is I quickly swipe through it until I find something that interests me. It’s also maybe the case that I have a lower opinion of the human race than some and accept this kind of rubbish more resignedly (if that’s an actual word) than people who think everyone should be nice to each other.

There’s a growing movement to ban U16s from any kind of internet access and I can see why. Some children are relieved to have an internet free period as it takes the pressure of constant social contact off of them.

I genuinely think that TIKTOK should be banned from the UK. It promotes the lowest common d3nominator and standards of behaviour for susceptible young people. Its clear links to the Chinese Communist Party are enough for me (and others) to believe it should be banned.

It is very sad that many journalists have dropped any pretense at impartial reporting. This is another dreadful import from the US and the Guardian are equally as guilty as GB News.

There is a lot of rubbish on Twitter and annoyingly more ads since Musk took over but it seems to have a stranglehold on this mode of communication. Mastodon, Threads and now Bluesky have all challenged Twitter and have, up until now, failed. I expect Bluesky to go the same way.

Reading this thread it seems that many people don’t use the ‘muted words’ facility on Twitter. Simply type in ‘Tommy Robinson’ ‘Diane Abbott’ ‘Meghan’ or whatever gets your blood pressure up and Bobs yer Auntie it never appears on your timeline.

Once you’ve sifted out the dross there are still some very interesting or educational content. Occasionally there’s some very good OSINT stuff around war zone which tends to reveal the actual truth regarding some aspects of combat. This is the sort of stuff you probably won’t see on MSM and if you do it’ll be 12 hours out of date. Twitter is the place to go for breaking news, I’m afraid it can’t be bettered for real time, on the ground witness testimony from members of the public.

ps. I also, thankfully, never get any porn on Twitter

What I don't understand
at 20:11 9 Nov 2024

He inherited it from his Father. He’s never had a proper job. Says a lot.

What I still can’t get my head around, even after all these years, is that Fernandes runs a massive airline and yet was by faaaaar the worst of the lot of them with no apparent business acumen or common sense. Ultimately it’s his fault that we are where we are today.

Things will not change until the club is sold to different owners.

I don’t think anything will really change until we get new owners. Despite keeping us financially afloat in every other respect Fernandes, Ruben and Amit have been utterly clueless in running a football club and that has filtered down and pervades everything about us. Nourry is just the latest example of their incompetence.

Everything Smyth has touched has turned to dog dirt. An embarrassing performance.

Sadly he, like too many of our players, are League 1 standard and that’s where I think they’ll be playing next season.

I haven’t suggested that we should.

Our league position would tend to suggest otherwise

So very QPR that we’ve just given him a new contract.

It’s been coming for a few years but I think this might well be the year that we go down.

Sam Field
at 18:53 2 Nov 2024

Even if JCS is fit there’s an argument that you could play Field at left back 8nstead of Paal. Fields complete lack of any forward momentum, creativity in midfield and tendency to hoof has been one of the reasons we’ve struggled. I’ve said for some time that Field is far better suited to playing in defence.

Celar - Nothing Again
at 22:10 26 Oct 2024

I’ve been critical of some of Celar’s lack of movement but just thought I’d post this to offer a slightly different perspective from the pitchfork and torch laden mob who want him slung out of the club already.

I thought Smyth was by some distance our best player. Very good cross for Morgan’s goal and three or four other really good crosses that Celar should have got nearer to. Why he was taken off is a mystery.

I’d agree with you about Cellar but Smyth put a great ball into the box and Cellar didn’t do anything to get close to it or get across the defender. I’m still not writing him off though.

Especially as we appear to be up against a 5 man midfield.

Dunne’s complete lack of pace would have been even worse against Millar.
