| News Comment | Swansea City get 20 million investment : Levien & Kaplan go ! by ncswan at 12:32:24
Great news for Swans fans regarding Levien & Kaplan moving on! However, if the last two games don't point out why our soon-to-be out-of-contract defensive duo need be re-upped, then nothing else will. They deserve a pay raise! Our best teams over the years always had that strong "spine" down the middle, and both Darling & Cabango are 2 pieces to the puzzle that are very much needed moving forward. |
| News Comment | Oxford Utd profile, Swans in January link & Franco latest by ReslovenSwan1 at 14:38:04
Atkinson made some very unwise remarks a long time ago and apologised profusely, I am prepared to accept his apology. We all live and learn. Swansea city fans sing ethnic slurs about Welsh people and never apologise or repent. Some do get upset when "people of colour" get similar moronic stick to their credit but do not make the link for heritage reasons. |
| News Comment | Does Luke Williams trust his academy options ? by ncswan at 15:48:45
Williams is sending a message to the Swans Academy that he has more confidence in other club's training and personnel than Swansea's Academy Program's. That is so sad! If the current owners really want to cut costs, then just get rid of the Academy, its coaches, players, and other support persons, and just look to the market for players. |
| News Comment | Swansea City : Are the club going to wriggle out of another forum with unanswered questions ? by Freelander at 17:40:57
Well the club will not go no were with this lot in charge and Luke Williams is not up to the job the making excuses all the time Swans are one of the lowest team in the Championship for goals scored every time we get near the opposition goal it all ways breaks down for years it showed we needed a proven striker but the board got in players we did not need at the moment Cardiff City are only one point behind us and if result go against us they could well leap frog us in the division things have got to change if not we could be facing relegation. |
| News Comment | Luke Williams on restructure & Cabango by pete at 19:07:55
For me the contract siuation of the 3 current first team players is still our priority that will help settle things and the 2 non contract guys here for the last 2 weeks need sorting one way or another, but GET it done one way or another mr chairman or as usual are your masters in D C holding things up ? As usual |
| News Comment | Causso Darame : A Swansea City dream in shreds by Sasi at 13:15:59
But 'ReslovenSwan1' maybe he wouldn't have found his life spiralling out of control if he'd had some kind of ongoing support. We'll never know but as Keith Haynes wrote "a complete waste of a young man's life'. |
| News Comment | Causso Darame : A Swansea City dream in shreds by ReslovenSwan1 at 12:38:33
He was a footballer who was not good enough for committed enough and got into a bit of trouble with the law. That's it. I do not see what Levien and Kaplan have to do with this. Potter had a very strong squad but wasted his £7m transfer budget. |
| News Comment | Causso Darame : A Swansea City dream in shreds by Sasi at 12:24:03
A very sad but well written article. I've often wondered whether young players get any ongoing support when they're released from a club's academy and how long any support lasts if they do. Surely this is essential particularly with young impressionable young men who suddenly have time on their hands after losing their dream and find it difficult to talk about their thoughts and future outside of football. Heartbreaking to read this as a Mum of five sons. |
| News Comment | Swansea City : Williams makes admissions by thomas65 at 09:26:04
Starting to get tired of the same excuses from Williams - “we were slow to start the game “ - this is extraordinary comment. He needs stop being mr nice and start laying down the law on what is expected. Having said that let’s be honest we are miles off being a strong team. |
| News Comment | Swansea City : Eom Ji-Sung out of the reckoning for weeks by ReslovenSwan1 at 17:18:47
I see this as very good news actually and congratulations on a excellent information piece. The offending ligament appears to be on the outside of the knee not on the guts of the lever as shown in the diagram. That must be better. Shame Ginnelly could not be fit to take his place. |
| News Comment | Chance after chance as the Swans draw another blank by ncswan at 01:07:18
A positive from this game is that Swans didn't lose it after not scoring after so many opportunities in the 1st half. How many times have we watched such wastefulness and then suffer a 2nd half collapse. Vigo, Cabango, & Darling, along with good team defense and a little bit of good fortune allowed Swans to remain undefeated at home. |
| News Comment | Swansea City v Stoke City : Team News by ncswan at 14:42:36
Sadly disappointed no Wilson, Parker, or Govea listed in the team. Why not start Allen in place of Grimes? Doesn't he need a rest like Franco in this stretch of 3 games in a short # of days? Put Parker in for Ronald, or at least have him on the bench to come in for him or Eom. |
