Astonishing performance in the first half. Been watching Saints for nearly sixty years and the first half ranked up there with the best. Eased up in the second after the damage was done. Well worth the record.

Where's Roy Castle and his trumpet when you need him...Record Breakers!

Great first half, foot off the gas second half. Subs didn't work. But really who cares for now.

After Leicester v Ipswich on Monday, one or both will be a few points closer. We may stay second.

What a team.

Well done Saints, very impressed with first half but second half we nearly went to sleep again, but overall we were definitely deserved the win.One thig that really irritates me is the standard of refereeing in this league they are about Sunday league level. But when we play like we did in the first half we’re unplayable,KWP my man of the match but there were others really close.COYR.

Strange match - phenomenal first half and I genuinely thought we would score 6 or more, but second half felt really quite flat and all the subs played poorly.

Fantastic form though and every hope of automatic promotion now.

After that first half of perfection, the 2nd was almost a disappointment. The midfield played brilliantly and the runs and passing was almost perfect at times. This is some team.

That first half was as well as I have seen any team play since Wales played Belgium in 2016, and it was our Saints...just fabulous.

Swansea City match report : There was a gulf in class but the Swans have hope 20th Jan 2024 15:18
This game was lost in the first half, the score at half time the same as when the game ended. A lack of defensive awareness and organisation on the pitch saw the Swans outdone today. 3

Great win. First half we were completely dominant. Played some superb football. Tired in the second half but saw the game out. In the end it was closer than it should have been. Swansea improved considerably and twice hit the woodwork when it looked like they would score. Frazer had a great game. A real threat and great performances throughout the team especially Bazunu. It was great to be there to see the record achieved. A massive performance in a tough league.

The first half was sublime much like the game against SW last week. The second half less so especially after Stevens came on I just fail to see the attraction that RM does.
Stu Armstrong didn't reach his own high standard today but even a bit below par he still manages to be involved in so many good moves
The standard of the assistant refs was pretty poor Our second and their goal should have been ruled off side Trouble is those gaffs encourage those who want VAR Let the fans decide on its introduction and I can almost guarantee it would be scraped Refs and players reaching retirement see it as jobs for the boys

I hope Luke Williams can get Swansea playing like they did the last half hour today They have got Leeds, Ipswich and Liecester coming up so could do us a massive favour or three

A special mention to Will Smallbone who some fans along with Manning have given far too much stick this season. I thought he was absolutely tremendous today.

We played very well until Stephens came on then our defence had no organisation and panic set in.
I cant see what Russell sees in him and as for making him captain that's a joke. We have done really well when he was out injured please don't waste that by playing him now.

Well done to the players and management for the record breaking run. We've got a great mix of talent and solid performers in the squad and we're a very good solid championship team.

One note of warning for pep junior - don't mess around with your defense unless it's due to injury - decent managers wouldn't do it so average ones certainly shouldn't.

COYRs.

I know we are in the second division but that first half was the best I have seen Saints since, well I would say the second half of that 4-0 cup game against Hoddle's Spuds - others will have different 'sinces' but it was certainly great.

A perfectionist would argue we should have been out of sight at half-time and it left us open to a shock result: Swansea were always going to have a 'spell' in the second half and could easily have got a second. That said we are looking pretty good and as an RM sceptic I have to say well done.

Just two criticisms: The tippy-tappy at the back in the last 20mins and the substitutions. They came together horrifyingly with that Stephens pass. Bringing on a substandard CH just at the time when you are expecting kitchen-sink time from the opposition and then playing high-risk nonsense at the back was asking for trouble and it VERY NEARLY got it.
