2 years suspended for this? It's shocking, at the very least the guidelines need looking at, 60 mph in a 20 zone and on the wrong side of the road, I'm saying at least 5 years so we send the message,

Aren't we soft
It's one thing to have a 20 speed limit but quite another to truly make examples of these cretins

Do late night driving mainly after work , drive along a 40mph limited stretch of road .

Just why do some drivers , I appreciate law abiding citizens and safe drivers dawdle along at the speeds of 39mph their right of course .

But aggresive and got to be there asap others will overtake at every opportunity and cause maybe a bad accident .

Poor driving , look at Subaru and Audi drivers antics late at night .

I will raise you, Mercedes drivers sitting in the outside lane of a motorway doing 70 mph in cruise control.

I will double raise you drivers who are unable to stick to driving within the legal speed limits and constantly drive too close to the vehicle in front, which is one of the major reasons accidents happen in the first place.

White van man and it seems to me it's not just Mercs, it's Audi and BMW too, German cars, people who buy them seem to be arsey drivers, they drive too fast, hog lanes, overtake dangerously....then parking...

Which is often why I have an issue with the 20mph, if they really want to save lives get more police on the roads, have more cameras and take these peoples cars off them. Lower the points needed for a ban of you have 2 driving convictions/tickets.

Then there's the parking thing, don't bother with traffic wardens, put more of those camera cars out there and have them out all day every day, saturate problem areas until people learn. Outside schools at picking up/dropping off times. If it's about saving lives then go for it and don't just lower speed limits because dangerous drivers don't give a monkeys about speed limits.

Can't drive to close my Merc doesn't like it, if I'm two car lengths away it makes all sorts of noises and when cars drive alongside me

I've owned a few BMWs and still have an old one to tinker about with. The strange thing is I've never worked out what the left hand stalk is on the steering column, maybe one day I'll find out.

Motors I have owned will struggle to 80 mph even in their better days before my ownership and second hand cars dealings .

Who wants to travel at 100 mph as a show off or an accident waiting to happen and probably a death resulting from them actions .

A lot of the time I drive now I am more concerned who is this chancer trying to overtake .

Spend more time looking in the rear view mirror that looking at the road ahead .

It was slightly tongue in cheek referring to another comment in this thread.😂

Cars are all about about Image
Premium marques especially
They are often overpriced
One pays for the badge
The quality of Mercs is related to price
Buy a bottomed merc and quality reflects that
Beemers have an image especially with younger professionals, as do Audis
I have a Skoda Enyaq coupe VRS
40 yrs ago , nobody conscious of street cred would have been seen dead on a Skoda
Amongst the better off BMW X5,Volvo XC60 and Merc GLC have the necessary image
Most of the drivers of those have no practical use for them
Their size gives false sense of security and safety

Drive safe folks

Tell me you didn't see that in the Albert Hall with your child bride
I remember a West Cross girl sticking her tongue inside my cheek
It traumatised a chapel boy like me
Ych a fi
