Hmmm. He doesn't seem happy. He seems frustrated that we have not replaced the 30 goals from last season which we lost in the summer.

I wonder if Duff will be another who has a short stint at Swansea a la Potter, Cooper and Martin.
It would be good to know what the "behind the scenes" issues were.

"Any thoughts ?

We do have a few, but that’s for the future"

I would say integrating a young player into the first team squad, then him buggering off to America could be one.

Surely we should not expect much from Joe Allen .

it feels very much like RM in early 2023 who seemed deflated by the lack of signings.
With the executive very top heavy I wonder if it is close to impossible for players to be identified / signed off.

Don't go injecting reality into the situation.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

PlanetSwans are running a story that Martin Hodge is coming in at a senior level.

If this is true perhaps Duff is finding it all unsettling.

The Hodge rumour is more likely than not.
Watson is either going or more effort is being added to the top of the money tree.

Watson going would set alarm bells ringing! Surely not.

However, I am sensing by some of the articles on here that the Yankers are again going by the ‘my way or the highway’ method here. They certainly seem to alienate people in a consistent basis.

This 100% they've put the useless toothless current Trust in their box and now have a free reign.
Haven't met many yanks, the ones I have, have given me a mixed opinion of them in general.

I do think that Levien and Kaplan are a pair of odious characters and I think that most outside their "circle" would say the same, I've had that opinion since they've been here.

Not just odious but clueless in running a football club. Yes, it’s a business but not in the traditional sense and therefore commands a different approach that they don’t seem capable of. The Leeds ticket fiasco is a perfect example. Yes, a loss on the BS but a gain in other areas with fans who go away. A sort of ‘loss leader’ if you like.

Odious is fine but it’s their commitment and business sense regarding our club that matter to me .
We have real problems with them and surely most feel the same .

There was no Leeds ticket fiasco. Leeds have form with Swansea city in making low ball offers and expecting Swansea to bite their hands off.

Huw Jenkins told them pay the going rate sharpish with Dan James or he is switching his phone off. That is what happened. They low balled Swansea and would not pay. It was Leeds's fault 100%.

Swansea agreed and an equitable deal with Stoke but could not agree with Leeds who wanted the Welsh club to preferentially subsidise English fans with an excess travelling group of 1500 including shamefully quite a few locals. It comes as no surprise to me that forum regulars support feeding the visitors better than they feed their own.

There is no loss leader in funeeleing an excess £30,000 to the fans of Leeds Utd. They will fill the away end now and in 10 years time. They do not need discounts. It is they that have the parachute money to tempt our players not to sign a new deal with us.

The fans are the clueless ones. Their own ownership group's performance is reflective of the fans management skills.

You seem more focussed on getting the full price off Leeds fans so they don’t get one over us than making it more affordable for our own.

Maybe the club will subsidise the trip for Swans fans going to Leeds in some shape or form to make up for the reduced price tickets. I wouldn’t hold your breath though.

He just doesn't understand that offering the supporters going to Leeds a discount for refreshments in Swansea is pointless to many. A large amount of supporters attending away games live outside Wales and attend far more away matches than home. If he went to away matches he would understand this by talking to fellow supporters.

"he would understand" That would be a first, they do say that there's a first for everything so you maybe right, not something that I would put a bet on though.

Yes - we know Huw Jenkins turned his phone off as the Leeds/James/Swansea issue was captured for Prime Video viewers (I wonder if our owners realised Leeds were filming All or Nothing).
It was one of Huw Jenkins' great moments albeit it would also be his last as he would be gone days later.

I think it's the case that all sports teams they are involved with aren't doing very well. maybe somebody who knows or who can be bothered to look can confirm or deny this?

Mentioning behind the scenes issues but then not clarifying is a bit pointless. Either speak up or shut up and get on with it!

A beautiful notionally theatrical end to glorious career at Swansea. He fell on his own sword as he said he would. He came as a 'failed roofer' and left as a legend. Called visionary by pablo Sousa no less.

He will get his statue once the Planetswans stone cold loser clique are long forgotten.
