Taken off but I have to say, he looks a very decent player indeed.

Hopefully he can stay injury free and I have no doubt he can add something to us.

He never is though.

Terrible buy.

Looked initially way off the pace but he wasn't the only one , bit more steel about him and a run in the side maybe the making of him ( if he can survive the managers' tuition )

That's the big concern. You can see why we took a gamble on him but ultimately the next injury is likely just around the corner.......leys hope it doesn't materialise and he kicks on.

He was neat and tidy.
He also on times looked to let the ball run past him and go forward........i am not saying he pulled up trees but Co sidering it was his first start for a long old time, I seen a player given time and get his fitness up will be a benefit to us going forward.

"If" he can get his fitness up, [If] two letter word with a massive meaning.

Grimes, like all the team, was more positive tonight.
Better overall performance and shame obviously about the silly goals again

Not really effective though is he.
When he gets the view of goalposts ,he trembles .

Match fitness is slightly more intense that being just fit , sharpness ,awareness all comes with playing regular

Well we cant select him cos he is never fit for very long.

Sadly we need all our players available due to our finances.

Its a luxury we can no longer afford.

I wish someone can point me in the direction of what he did on Tuesday apart from being neat and tidy, he doesn't get in ahead of Fulton, maybe switch back and forth with Cundle, but Cundle goes forward, being match fit is a moot point, I'd quite happily see him having a run in the side and lets see what he's got, assuming that he doesn't pull yet another fetlock.

It's kinda weird seeing people say that any player is "neat and tidy but doesn't do much" when Grimes plays every minute of every game.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I find it weird that players are written off before having a reasonable chance .

Walsh has a reputation as a talented player but one made out of papier mache.

Have never understood why such players get blamed for their own faulty genetics. Tends to be the less intelligent types who do it.

How many players over the years who've been talented , injury prone but perservered with because of their talent . not on our level admittedly but looking at the likes of Ramsey , Bale, Michael Owen , Gerrad , Robben, Van persie , all spent long spells out of the game due to injury issues .
We can't afford to keep players who can't play but I'd be suprised if there wasn't a balance between what the long term prognosis is v wages before writing them off . The Club for example perserved with Bodde for a few years before time was called ( incidently , I watched his last competitive game at Parc Y Scarlets in a reserve match where he came off for a final time injured)

I think you need to make the distinction between injury prone and basically knackered.

I'm thinking that a player like James Thomas was injury prone. A very good forward who could have played higher than he did, but unfortunately had a tendency to pick up knocks. Compare and contrast to the likes of Ashley Williams or Matt Grimes who are basically indestructible.

Bodde didn't have much of an injury record before receiving one serious bit of damage that sadly never healed to the point where he could resume a profession as physically demanding as professional sport.

What did Walsh do on Tuesday then? perhaps you can help one of the less intelligent ones out and educate me.

Its not his fault he breaks down, there's been loads of players who have suffered the same fate Daniel Sturridge is one that springs to mind.
