That'll screw up a few holidays.

Over a 5 week period or for a solid 5 weeks?

If solid 5 weeks they are obviously being paid too much.

It’s the backlog that will be thecoroble.
This will affect hard working folk as they try to have a holiday

Only 25% of their staff are going on strike so the problem will be much exagerated. If you renew your passport online with a new photo upload they should manage it in three working days the process is 100% automated.

Only people likely to be affected are people applying for a passport for the first time or people who find their passports are out of date and need to visit passport offices to get a new one a few days before their holiday.

Poll: Sholud Wales rollout vaccination at full speed.

They obviously aren't as they wouldn't be going on strike 🙄

People strike for all sorts of reasons not just money.
Indeed even Mick Lynch of the RMT has said it is not about money but terms and conditions. I.e. keeping outdated working practices etc.

Yes that as well but I was answering the post about money.

What do you think about them going on strike for better pay and conditions?

Honest question, who can afford to be out on strike for 5 solid weeks? 1 day per week for ages until you hit 5 weeks maybe but 5 straight weeks?

PS, not having read the story I don't know how the strike is structured.

Nor have I mate.

I think its a shot over the bows to ruffle feathers.

The all out strike days have long gone, the best way to get the message home imo is short hours walkouts, it causes most disruption.
