Cardiff City warning ‘ The Swans are fighting’ ! 20th Mar 2023 14:19
Russell Martin had the best gift he could have wished for this weekend, and that was three points after a dominant display over Bristol City. The result, a 2-0 win saw the Swans rise to forty six points in the EFL Championship and to relative safety from relegation fears with eight games to go. 0

10 points ahead, 8 games left, we should be safe and one more win surely clinches that?

Cardiff must be suffering, they have a very bad run, they change managers and start to improve then when winning away...,match abandoned. They must be thinking the footballing gods have cursed them.

I dont care about the double "doube" but I do care about the performance. keep on playing like Saturday BUT keep on improving and everything will be OK. I don't have that much faith though. There have been too many false dawns for me to believe this time Martin has learned his lessons and we will stay on this track.

I believe Martin can only deliver the top 6 year on year if he beefs up his coaching team. He took too long to adapt. One sign of adaptation was Darling at FB . This could have been done weeks ago. Walsh /Ntcham was forced on him by injuries and suspensions.

In my career the threat of the sack was always something that got me going and giving 100%. In my opinion Martin has to earn the backing of the ownership group. Poor signings do not help his case. I believe the Ownership group would lend / invest money in Swansea city if they have a 80% of seeing a transfer profit on it. Flynn Downes all day. Fisher not so much. Swansea need to weed out bad signings.

If they want to wheel and deal and look for bargains then they should cast their net wider and improve the scouting.

Wise sage since Toshack era
