Fishers main problem is the way he’s asked to play. Because he has the ability to take balls to his feet under pressure and is confident in his passing, there’s more onus on him and the defence as a whole to play that way (or at least was when he was first choice).
We pretty much all agree that football was kamikaze, cost us a lot of goals and didn’t really benefit us at all. Fisher in a team with less of that wouldn’t be as good as Benda, but he’ll be decent enough. | | | |

I know there are two schools of thought amongst supporters..
One to which you belong that believes the owners are doing a good job and that they tried to make signings in the window but failed.
I am firmly in the other camp which believes the owners failed to sanction any signings that those on the ground lined up in January, which should have included signing a better keeper than Fisher, either on loan or permanently.
We are now left with the choice of a keeper who was benched for four months because he was deemed not good enough for us or a keeper who was deemed by fans of non league Hereford not good enough.

Just type their names in to Transfermarkt and all that data is available. But, the valuations are good indications of the standard they are at.
As pointed out at the time of Benda's injury Martin favours Fisher so whoever was brought in would be the bench warmer with loan targets (at best third or fourth choices at their clubs) would knowing that and would be reluctant to turn their lives upside down for 4 months of watching us play; unless we were going to bring in a player to be number 1 a fee would be a waste of money; how much would a walk in 1st choice cost even if they could have been found? | |

Then cross reference with what you already know and trust - and if possible use a system of evaluating information to reach a far more informed opinion.

Indeed.
Ben Foster was offered £50k to sit on the bench at Newcastle after an injury to their keeper and would have been the highest paid 3rd choice on the planet, he didn’t want to.
It’s extremely unlikely we will need any keeper other than Fisher for the rest of the season, we would be unbelievably unlucky if we ever needed to use Sondergaard.
He’s there as a step up from Webb, which he appears to be. The estimated value is 400% higher in the Dane. | |
