I see the Feedback at the end unless I've missed something also blames the fault squarely on the players.
No mention I see there of our Russ changing anything to fit the style that the players are more comfortable with.
If the writer of that thinks with this guy at the helm with a change of personnel will bring entertainment and passion back to our fans I very much doubt it.
Perhaps just perhaps the players are not comfortable with the style they are expected to play.
I don't think the fans were just booing the players.

The players are not stupid, they know what needs to be done on the pitch. The problem is if they do what needs to be done and override the managers decisions they will be dropped. |  | | |

Its now leaders are needed on and off the field, where is the on site american representative to give the manager some help where are the people at the top to come and sort this situation out? all missing they should be here all of them to sort a mess they are resposible for, but you wont see them as they are not that interested, thought jake would have been different but he now toes the party line.
the manager needs to try in whatever way he can raise spirits and confidence the supporters deserve more much more from everyone from manager up and the players need to look at themselves, Manning on his way Lats looks the same others wondering what is their future not a happy place thats when LEADERS come in sadly we have none showing up at this time of course just my opinion | | | |

I refuse to believe players were thinking about the summer for the last 18 months. It’s strange, he blames the boos (recent thing), the window (recent thing), the distraction of the summer (recent thing)…

You are of course right, the blame is squarely at Russell Martin’s door but having players more interested in their own destiny than the club yet again isn’t helpful. I think he is having a go at the owners again by saying they are thinking of the summer.
We have an article coming later today regards the players. TBH I and several others involved in the writing of it don’t rate them as highly as others may well do. It will be an interesting read I think. And of course the responses.

We're all experienced enough with football to recognise that competent coaching makes a huge difference to a team. Players who might look parks level in a game can be transformed under the right manager. The players we have now are much better than the tune Russy is getting out of them.

I remember the Blackburn game last season. We were down to 10 men and the players defended like their lives depended on it. Cabango and Bennett in particular blocked and cleared balls away from danger.( Even into row Z) We won 1-0 and I remember thinking well played lads.
I may be wrong but I believe Bennett had very few games after that. | | | |

I’ve said it before but I truly believe that Martin persists with this style because he will be seen as a manager prepared to play the right way but just doesn’t have the personnel. Add in the lack of signings and his argument to future employers is even stronger.
The question is why do the players persist? Well, they do what they are told by their manager but I think he is encouraging them to keep doing so promising them that they will be seen by other clubs that they are comfortable on the ball.
So all in all this is just an experiment for Martin and he is using this club as a stepping stone to a bigger club based upon his style of play rather than his success. |  |

He plays this way because Man City does but he doesn’t understand the philosophy behind it to be able to coach it. We have seen halves where the system has worked which proves the players are capable.

These things he’s been saying from the start of his managerial career.
He’s been at two clubs, brought in over 40 players. Many he’s insisted upon himself who he has said can play this style, yet hasn’t finished in the top half once.
The manager immediately after he left MK Dons got them to the brink of promotion. The manager before he arrived here did the same.
Half of these players are the same as other managers have had and done extremely well with, much of the other half are improvements, some aren’t, but most are.

That's the way I see it, he plays players in posistions and roles that they are uncomfortable with and drops them completely otherwise. Sorinola played LW, Piroe lumped on the right. It's just ludicrous.
Then to say that the boos don't matter to him but hurt the team, what a joke he is. He is constantly lining up excuse after excuse. 3 wins in 20, 2 of them vs 10 men. What is the excuse for that? | |

The owners would probably not be interested in listening in my opinion.
Lets remember what Jenkins said at the time of the sale, "They have the backing/ability to sustain us if or when we are relegated" either he was lied to or he just said stuff to justify the sale. | |
