'The pedestrian build ups are far too calculated to threaten a team like Norwich City' just isn’t true. Chances were created but not taken (on another day Cabango could have come away with two assists). The differences were only a little Pukki magic and a sleepy Latibeaudiere.
Does Martin get funds in January? IMO ,no point. His choices have been a let down and it appears he favours his own for too long no matter how they perform (e.g. Fisher) and doesn’t trust others. If Oko is recalled in January I, and I think many other, will be pig sick?
You have a point about goal scorers but the players we have did well in the second half of last season. Motivating the squad is Martin's job. And, compared with last season with thanks to a brief run of success we are currently a goal up, three fewer conceded, four point ahead and six places better off.
There are so many deficiencies in Martin's performance (pointed out in the OP) that the question should be, 'Should the shareholder use some money to replace Martin, thank him for his services and move on?' |  |

Too many people on here can’t see the grey for their own black and white view. Actually that’s not aimed at you. Martin has deficiencies, as do some of his players and as long as he can’t replace them these deficiencies will continue.

But both Obafemi and Piroe were signed for that season, they were new multi million pound players that he clearly likes. I can’t imagine he would be too keen to swap them. More has been spent in the last two seasons than any other consecutive 2 seasons in our football league history, it can’t be overlooked.
Our play is awful, just as MK Dons play was awful. It’s the very reason both clubs failed to win games consistently. Opposing fans laugh at us and our own fans admit to leaving the stadium long before the end as they are bored senseless.
The suggestion seemed to be that the issue was the quality of player available and not Martin himself, and unless he got even more players then they may as well get rid of him. But I think the focus should be more on the manager who is doing no different to what his track record says he does.
Takes quality sides and hampers them with an awful style of play, hamstringing its players which ends up in poor results.
If they are to take the option to get rid of him then it should be because he’s not up to standard rather than a desire not to give him even more money to continue putting new players in a failing and flawed system and expecting different results.
It’s an exercise to get noticed, not to be effective. Those God awful goal kicks were the epitome of that, it was for show and for people to talk about him. They certainly weren’t for the benefit of the club or to improve results.
The club and results seem to come a distant second, and that is galling. | |

They are supporting him properly though, they have given him millions and wrote off a whole season for him.
I can’t remember a manager getting backing like that. The leeway given to such ineptitude has been on a scale I’ve never seen before at this club.
There is nothing wrong with our squad, we could do with an upgrade at wing back but that’s about it. But that has always been the case, needing an upgrade in a certain position. Alan Tate and Mark Gower in our promotion team spring to mind.

Sorry Keith but there is something wrong with our play. We are too slow, too predictable, too sideways and backwards when the forward option is there.
I honestly believe we have the squad to have a crack at promotion but we have to bring Whtts and Joseph back and dump Lati, Cullen, Sorinla and Pato.
That is our big problem, Martin sticks with the square pegs and the simply not good enough and he persists with the over passing.
When Cooper and Oko-Flex came on we looked dangerous, we have pace and urgency but will they start the next game? Cooper may but Oko-Flex?
We had a brief run of good form, we thought maybe Martin had finally learned some lessons and we would see a more forward thinking, more attacking style but it was a pipe dream from us. we are almost back where we were at the start of the season. We have seen a slight improvement but as on several previous occasions it has been a step forward then a slide backwards
It's not just about the owners supporting Martin with transfers, it's about Martin learning from mistakes and when we find something that worls, not dumping it in favour of his flawed ideology. | |

IMHO.
We started seeing some good/great improvements and then he went and ripped up most of that good work and reverted back to type, he can't seem to see the wood for the trees. [Post edited 11 Dec 2022 12:47]

Re goal scorers - when you have a 24 goal a season striker on your books you build your team around him. Martin hasn’t helped him this season |  |
