We're @rseholes apparently on 16:46 - Oct 10 with 2237 views | Catullus | Yet I met several mackems in town that evening and they were very complimenatry about us. I read most of the thread, they don't seem to realise that a lot of the east stand walk out down that way, there literally only being 2 ways out because of the river. Also, there's an irony in calling us all a-holes when they (some of them) are spouting what resloven would certainly class as hate speech. Apparently we are A-holes because we're Welsh. Well I'll stan by what I've said, I met a few of them Saturday night, had a good chat and they were all sound, this is probably just their keyboard warriors. They seem to think our neck of the woods is a Welsh speaking area, they don't know it's "little England" around here, you rarely hear welsh, there's more chance of Polish being spoken. I met quite a few Sunderland fans on the Bank by Harvesters prior to the game, no bother whatsoever.

My thoughts exactly Sunderland makes Swansea look like St Tropez

No different to what you would get at any other ground in my experience. Either the Sunderland OP doesn’t go away much or he’s a bit of a fanny.
We're @rseholes apparently on 09:20 - Oct 11 with 1745 views | 1983 | I love the I walked into a pub in Wales they were all talking English and when they heard we were English they all started talking Welsh... After living in England for a long time now I've heard that story a million times what a weak limp story playing devil's advocate here if they were all Welsh speakers surely they would be speaking in Welsh anyway??

Correct. If they are welsh speakers they were speaking welsh before the Englishman entered the pub.

We're @rseholes apparently on 22:51 - Oct 11 with 1492 views | Kilkennyjack | It would be like us saying that everyone in Sunderland is like Adam Johnson because he was born there and played for them. Every Sunderland fan i ever met was a good decent person. The documentary on the their club showed that they are a great club. I prefer to think better of them than they seem to think of us.

Every club has morons. I've always found the people from the North East to be extremely friendly.

I’ve never experienced that, ran a lot of races up there, around Llanberis and Conwy, people I’ve met have been lovely.

I stayed in North Wales on a trip to Old Trafford to watch Wales play England...we got battered...the people were nice. On the other hand, I did once walk into a pub in Llanelli and people who were speaking English did start talking Welsh after I'd spoken AND the then landlady f the Ivorites in Fforestfach thought I was English ( she was a Hoolahan) and she slapped me. Apparently because I'm from Mumbles I sound posh and they thought that made me not Welsh 20 years living in Llansamlet haven't altered my accent that much but no one says it anymore, it must be all these English interlopers

I’ve never had a problem anywhere in Wales because of my accent. But I’m an all round nice guy. Honest. 😠
