Deleted thread on Mulitiple baby deaths 13:53 - Oct 15 with 1671 viewsonehunglow

Are we in a position whereby no comments whatsoever are allowed on a current court case ?
Thanks

My point was about how we deal with these people,as a whole.

It’s the most high profile case if the year and it should strike a chord with every parent yet we cannot offer opinions on it.

How can we,how should we punish .

There are strict rules on an ongoing case. You are allowed to comment factually on what has been said in court but you can’t speculate or presume guilt or innocence. I saw one comment saying she was “obviously guilty” which is clearly not true otherwise the trial wouldn’t be expected to last six months.

I saw no opinions of that nature although it seemed to have been pulled rather quickly

Plenty will follow the verdict

I pointed out that you shouldn't comment on an ongoing trial online it's common knowledge that

You’re allowed to discuss it as long as you stick to the facts reported in court. Anything beyond that is contempt.

Seems to be the case where threads containing reasonable discussion get deleted, whilst the usual trolls are allowed back on to bore everyone to death after a period of relative peace.

Strange.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

If you're aware of the law why did you start a topic on an ongoing trial

If you’re insinuating that the defendant is an evil person then that’s this thread gone already.-

Yes but Tory or not you can’t call the defendant evil during a court case. That’s the difference.

You can say the prosecution described her as a malevolent poisoner. You can refer to the fact she wrote on a piece of paper “I killed them on purpose” and “I did this I’m evil” as this has happened in court.

But you can’t presume guilt or innocence or speculate “what we are going to do with her”.

The thread was removed due to the inability of some posters to debate and intelligently talk about any ongoing issue such as this. It’s been said hundreds of times, if those posters can’t discuss without destroying topics then what do you expect to happen ?
