I think it's a legal obligation that they have to be informed as soon as possible - the timing is rubbish but I don't think they have a choice.
Clarence House staff sacked on 13:07 - Sep 14 with 1249 views | felixstowe_jack | The headline is of course deliberately provocative. I doubt anyone will be sacked as the only grounds for sacking anyone is seroius misconduct. I think the poster meant some redundancies. No doubt some staff across the staff at all palaces will be offered voluntary redundancy on very goods terms. Some will take it some won't. Some will be redeployed to other duties. It is almost as if the poster wanted to be offensive and controversial.

Wrong. Not provocative at all. It is fact. Gossamer line between sacked and made redundant . My point shows how overweight the current Monarchy is.

Don’t let common sense spoil a good story. I’d wager that is exactly what will happen.

They could have been informed after the mourning period.

They should keep all the staff, even if their job no longer exists. Every employer does that, don't they ?

Not done employment year for about 15 years, but I'm pretty sure there was something about letting the employees know as soon as possible.

Impossible to police, Royal Family leave nothing to chance we are told so the power brokers would have known what was going to happen before the Queens death with Charles going to succeed her and therefore the employees should have been told the day the Queen died, if it's a myth that 'nothing is left to chance' then Charles would have been unlikely to make a decision on Clarence House during the mourning period when his head could be in the shed and he is busy with funeral arrangements and being made King. So it doesn't make sense the employees been told during the mourning period because that suggests a decision was made during the mourning period and that is unlikely, they should have been told the day the Queen died to fit in with English law (I told you English law was rubbish, us Welsh would have much better laws if independent) as I reckon it's likely it was known at that point, but nothing can be proved no doubt, I might have been born at night but it was not last night. Staff who are made redundant are expected to be offered the opportunity to take up alternative employment across all royal households, assistance in finding new jobs externally and an “enhanced” redundancy payment beyond the statutory minimum. A small number of staff providing personal support to Charles and Camilla will remain in post, though no final decisions are understood to have been taken ahead of the consultation period, which begins after Monday’s funeral. It was the Guardian.

Well yes, the job no longer exists therefore they have to be made aware that their position may be gone
Clarence House staff sacked on 21:48 - Sep 14 with 952 views | Catullus | Will the new PoW not be using Clarence house? Some of these staff will likely be made redundant and then apply for a job under the new resident, assuming that happens. William and Kate may be very happy just where they are.

In football and matters Royal fact is stranger than fiction. You might deny Charles has 5 butlers when in fact he has 13. Martin was keen to meet Sir Elton John despite they being cultural adversaries. Martin is for sustainability which is lucky for the US owners. Sustainability mean cutting his own cloth. Sir Elton on the other hand once spent £300,000 in one year on flowers. Sir Elton's whole ethos is waste and extravagance. King Charles ia addicted to waste high living and privilege. His job was to stay out of public affairs and he did the opposite. The chopper pad is ready at Sophia Gardens. "He aint catching no train.

Absolutely not. He should have cycled. And as for sticking his nose in, he did it because he could give weight to deserved issues. He’s gone on record to say that now he’s got the top job there’ll be no more of that.
