He’s a game changer. Was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch in the short time he played for us, stuck out a mile.

He’s young, British, extremely talented so I’d say it’s a risk worth taking.

He’s a very good player. Despite playing very few games for us it was clear to see that he was leagues ahead of any other loanee who ever played here at this level, beside Gylfi.

He's a good player but remembering my cynicism about transfer fees and wages, nobody is worth that much money.

There should be a banding system for players, some way of defining a players value. Should a player be valued by potrntial because they may never reach what some think them capable of?
Maybe a player should only be valued by achievement, a points system that moves you up through the bands. Then slap a value on each band and that's what a players transfer fee is.

The current system is centralising power with a handful of clubs and it's ruining football.

Personally I reckon MGW should be valued at around 3 million!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

As a matter of interest if you value MGW at £3M what would you value downes at?

Honestly believe had we retained him we would have been promoted that year.

Premier league teams are able to manipulate the Championship. When you consider that Wolves are owned by agents they may have a vested interest in favouring one team over another . While a I do not think this is happening in this case there is a scope for manipulation and corruption.

For example Player A plays for Swansea and player B plays for Watford. Both loans have a promotion bonus. In January Watford are top by 6 point and Swansea are tenth.

Do you want that double bonus? Easy take Ethan Anon-Anon off Swansea and give to Watford to give them the impetus for promotion to ensure the bonuses. It a form of picking winners and season fixing. "We wanted him to be in a competitive environment" . Is Mr Birch asleep like he was with the BLM fiasco?.

This is why I say player should be valued for their achievements not their potential. Downes hasn't achieved anything yet, he has the potential but he has to fill it out. So i'd say 2 million. MGW is further along the curve than Downes.

Maybe you should try asking me how much I think harry kane is worth? he has filled his potential, he has the goals in the EPL, is a first name on Englands sheet, he's worth 25 million.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

That’s a ludicrous suggestion though isn’t it.

That means Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney is 16 year olds should be worth about 800k.

Looks the part & as he's young and English that seems to be a reasonable price in today's market.
I was surprised that he was loaned out again last season, I thought with Nuno gone he'd have been given an opportunity at Wolves but he was excellent at Shef Utd.

Everton about to offer thirty million for him.
Seems a lot.
