Something happening at Burnley?

Apparently deleted all mentions of Burnley on his socials and unfollowed club, childish I know.

We had a whisper or two about three days ago, nothing concrete, we do know he’s very unhappy mate, Mrs possibly, and I use that carefully, also not happy. Maybe he should come back on loan 😉

Possibly missing his carpentry workshop

Seems a very decent lad, can understand why he left and the people there’re very similar to Swansea but sometimes you don’t realise what you’ve got till it’s gone

This could very much be the case.
Similarities to Leon Britton.

Well done Connor, if you are a footballer you need to play football.

Too many these days go along with not playing.

I've heard Burnley only bought Connor because Dyche needed some carpentry work doing on his house.

Makes sense to me, Connor must have just finished.

His Mrs from north aswell isn’t she? Shame it hasn’t worked out for him so far.

Joe Rodon another mind, brought off just before hour mark today.

There were always serious doubts about whether he was a good enough RB to hold down a place in the Premier League. If Burnley played with Wingbacks they might have got more out of him.

I hope he hasn't reverted to the cobby Roberts of a couple of years ago and gotten up Dyche's nose as a result because he's proven himself capable of being better than that.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Can't stand Dyche, I detest the bloke, I would say if Connor has got up his nose then good, but that won't do Connor's prospects any good.

Didn't realize there was another thread.

Id love to see Connor in this side (& I would rather him instead of Laird).

It was always going to be difficult for him to gain a starting place ahead of Lowton in fairness.

Totally understand the reasons for Connor leaving for the PL but I fear another player who will regret leaving the Swans (although his bank balance wont).

Laird's been a fantastic replacement. If there's no chance of us getting him in permanently then we really have to consider getting Connor back

I'm not convinced that Connor really wanted to go in the first place, myself. Disappointed for him, that it doesn't look like its working out.

I love the guy but he looks stumped. That said,he must have realised this. Also the fee for him was risible .Insulting really.

Nice walks around Burnley and he can build a few Dog Kennels and sell them to the locals

He's not got the quality to be a prem player atm, I'm just surprised he even went to a prem team

£13.5m for Rodon and Roberts is sniffed at by the fans but we are in the middle of the 'Great plague' and prices have dropped. It was in fact great business. Neither are first teamers and their values are falling. Rodon "hauled off" (poetic licence) after 50 mins v the mighty Mufa FC.

Swansea spent £1 or £2m on Piroe and brought in Ntcham. Cabango was go to go so Rodon was replaced and local contenders are needed for Connor. I think Garrick or Rushesha. High praise for Naughton today and Manning too who both can do that job.

Coast no good when weather is cold and wet though. We are living on a peninsular ourselves

The Moors are good n bleak and perfect for Connor to contemplate his current position.

Come home Connor. You know it makes sense.
Would fit in perfectly in the way Russell Martin utilises wing backs.
Fee shouldn't be an issue. He was picked up for a steal.
What wages is he on at Burnley?

Coast is fabulous when weather is cold and more beautiful cos the tourists are int house. I don't understand why people don't get out on Gower walks in Winter just because it is colder.

I'm not going in the water even with wet suit from this point in the year though.

More than he would with us so no way would he take such a huge wage drop.

Burnley could set him up for life

Somehow can't see Burnley's wages being that high.
Yes significantly higher than what he was on with us but we have pushed the boat with Matt Grimes etc .
Who knows the potential gap may not be that wide particularly for quality of life.

You might be surprised.
It’s Prem League wages and nobody signs for modest wages .

We agree anyway on Connor..

How many weeks do you need to be on Premier wages for to set you up for life ? Once you’re there other things than money may take priority.
If he’s unhappy and his mrs is too, who knows ?
In reality may be a completely innocent reason for his social media thing

That depends on who you are.
Million quid per month coming in wouldn’t take long.
A player with his head screwed on can invest wisely or buy much of Burnley s housing stock,as Robbie Fowler did
