Joel Piroe has a collection of cool finishes already, and once he heads a ball I’m certain that will go in as well. He has been absolutely fantastic. We have been blessed indeed with a management team who have total faith in the coaching methods of Russell Martin, and as we have stated all along he is the answer to our club this season. Whittaker ha been treated abysmally and hardly a post is made .What is it about this lad that everyone seems to think he is not worthy of at least replacing he anonymous Cullen. Naughton is one where no criticism is allowed at all in contrast. Nobody sticks up for yoing Morgan.
I hope he does go and his career progresses instead of being dumped every week with us.

Whittaker ha been treated abysmally and hardly a post is made .What is it about this lad that everyone seems to think he is not worthy of at least replacing he anonymous Cullen. Naughton is one where no criticism is allowed at all in contrast. Nobody sticks up for yoing Morgan.

Think its all about work rate tbh, I like both Cullen and Whits, but I don't know where they fit, both need valuable game time, think I'd prefer to maybe see Joseph back here and possibly Garrick, Bidders and Laird have been excellent last few games though.
Think Joseph in particular could definitely help to push us on.
But it's a bit of a conundrum as to where they'd fit in at this moment. | |

I don’t think it’s particularly bad for people to be talking about Whittaker’s situation. People were doing the same last year with the American duo despite us nearly winning every game they were here.
This season we have struggled and Whittaker was frozen out despite proving himself with a hattrick. I think everyone just needs to start being a bit more honest. Praise when it’s due, criticise when it’s due, question when it’s due.
Everyone was more than happy to complain about things for the last two seasons despite our fantastic results, but it seems the standards have changed this year. Nothing can be questioned, nothing can be criticised - don’t buy into that I’m afraid.
Let’s hope Oba is back this week and gets a chance to show what he can do. |  |

Perchy's just upset that nobody other than AJ has joined his Naughton hate campaign. I'd like to say that he'll get over it but he probably won't. Can't wait for his reaction when Kyle extends his contract.
As for the actual subject of the thread, the club are clearly taking the view that it's better to make sure Obafemi is 100% before risking him and that's probably the correct approach. [Post edited 23 Oct 2021 6:52]
