All out of contract player's agents are bombarding professional clubs up and down the land with details of their clients. There are lists available of all ex professional out of contract players. Its what the agents do for a living. Of course Swansea City like every other club considers some of them and even invites the occasional one to training just to have a look. It's what happens at every club.
It's extremely rare for any of them to be taken on though. There's always a reason they're out of contract in the first place.
Of course Swansea City just like every other club is on the lookout. To say Steve isn't looking is wrong. Andy Scott has forgotten more about the pool of football talent available to us than any of us will ever know and it's him that will be looking not Steve. |  |

We don’t have the cash to be throwing at these kinds of players who are unlikely to make any impact for the reasons stated as to why they are available in the first place.
