Our pitch is highly specialised, can it be done? They can grow grass in winter, in the right conditions, so an indoor area with proper heating and apparently there's something called dominant seeding which I know nothing about and would have to look up.

New pitch sunday? on 11:38 - Dec 16 with 4693 views | Ferryjack123 | Well have to wait and see.. but apparently it's in hell of a state after the rugby on it the weekend even worse than the Bournemouth game and we're gonna be shocked at the state on it Saturday.. other than ripping it up and trying to replace it I don't see how it can be improved quickly to help us play the way we want too.. this might be seen as a last resort and worth the risk because it can't get any worse surely

Could our match on Saturday be played at Landore in view of the circumstances?

You might be right. Thing is, others have said we were training on it too and that makes absolutly no sense given the weather and the rugby too. They might take the chance and expense of a new pitch or it might seriously hamper our promotion chances and that's a gamble they want to win.

New pitch sunday? on 12:10 - Dec 16 with 4650 views | Badlands | I recall the club saying the pitches in Fairwood were the exact same dimension and make up as the one at the Liberty. If that is the case there is no reason they couldn't (for a price) take up the training pitch to the depth of the sand and re-lay the turf at the Liberty then work on the sections knitting together sufficiently. The Millennium stadium did that but with the grass type and technology of the day it wasn;t a resounding success but would be significantly better than we have. They would have to crack on and get it done ASAP.

New pitch sunday? on 13:21 - Dec 16 with 4568 views | 34dfgdf54 | I thought Ospreys were at St Helens now?! Maybe because it was european competition they couldn't change home venue and Pro14 games will stick to St Helens otherwise it's going to be catastrophic for us imo. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Maybe it'll be more than a one off. The pitch normall has most of May, then June and July to recover and be worked on. It's had little break, little chance for repairs and apparently more action than normal (training?) with some very wet weather recently and even more to come. Fridays forecast is very wet. We allow so many changes in every part of our lives to deal with covid, surely sports governing bodies can allow leeway. It's not like it'll affect crowds in Wales!

I don't think it can be? I'm pretty certain that all home games have to be played at the same ground for the entire season.

I checked, the training pitch is exactly the same makeup as the Liberty so it's a ready made replacement.

New pitch sunday? on 17:19 - Dec 16 with 4346 views | TenbySwan | Playing at the training facility is a no go There are loads of Uefa regulations that would probably not be met. Rooms for 4th Official, drug testing. Media etc etc quality of floodlights etc.

Extra hydropnic lamps have been brought in (and if that fails there's a few in Town Hill who lend them some more!).

That is just madness. What genius allowed that? If the ospreys needed a lesson they should have sent them to our artificial training pitch, it's only a 5 minute walk.
