A young man in probably the hardest position on the pitch needs a proper on the pitch mentor, he is going to find it hard against QPR, but there's always growing up to be done.

Cooper and Cabango have played with each other countless times for our u23s, u18s and Wales u21s. Cooper was in the dug out the other day (Joe there as well) and trains with the first team. I didn’t think he played that badly either. What can be asked of a defence that’s better than a clean sheet?

No. I thought he did reasonably well all things considered (which are his age, his inexperience, the conditions, the fact that not a lot of training ground work will have been done over the Christmas period, the messages and reassurances from the touchline were hardly free flowing).

Struggled badly enough for many to award him mon of the match! '19-year-old Swansea academy graduate Ben Cabango was the star of the show, being named as Man of the Match for his efforts. The centre-half put on an assured performance beyond his years. During the match, he amassed a pass completion rate of 89%, made two successful dribbles and also made three successful tackles. It was just the sixth league appearance of the season for Cabango, and his showing will give Steve Cooper added confidence in the youngster.' https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/bossed-it-these-swansea-fans-react-to-performa

You criticise Cabangos performance against Charlton and you weren't even there? You were listening to the game on the radio? Kevin Ratcliff is not our biggest fan, unlikely to get a fair opinion off him.

You're right, Monk mentored Ashley and Caulker and it did look like we were missing that kind of presence the other night, but even saying that, Cabango looked hopelessly slow and out of his depth, unfortunately.

Your comment about Cabango is absolutely ludicrous. Man of the Match roundly applauded in almost all quarters and to you he slow and out of his depth! Monk mentored Ashley and Caulker Monk lived off Tate, then Williams and had to be taught how to defend by Sousa.

Wales online article has Cooper confirming Wilmot not available due to the terms of contract.....Ratcliffe was offering constructive criticism of Cobango on Thurssay overall he was actually full of praise for him but did point out some issues ic the night whilst saying he will learn and become a good CB.
