It’s incredible really that when covid tests stopped being free and you couldn’t get a week off work on full pay anymore that covid cases dropped like a stone.

Covid, hasn't stopped, just because we aren't testing, it's still out there, but thankfully, it appears to have weakened. Scarlett fever is the latest, it's in the schools now

In what way do they work? Do you mean they help spread the disease. Hate to say this but over here, the only people getting Covid are the vaccinated, and not only are they the only ones that seem to be getting it but they also seem to be getting sick and needing time off work more frequently. Not saying this is the same everywhere, but here it is.

I’d imagine if there are cases of people of developing Covid in Qatar, unless people are really really unwell they’ll say nothing and try to struggle on as no one will want to be quarantined in a facility.

No. That's rubbish. Unless you've got decent data to back it up? The vaccines have ended the pandemic. The virus is endemic, the vaccinated get it but don't get too ill, end up in hospital or die. Covid is now just a disease that the vulnerable will need to be vaccinated against probably every year. Just like the flu. No vaccines and almost certainly no world cup without significant control measures. Just look at China, only something like 20% of the vulnerable population are fully vaccinated. They still need and have lockdowns.

You can keep burying your head in the sand. The data is out there, it has been provided to you and you ignore it. As to your ridiculous claim that "No Vaccines no World Cup", I suggest that you look at the 2022 Vaccination Rates, COVID cases, deaths and excess mortality in the countries that have and are taking part in the world cup. Remember Omicron is far less lethal than previous variants. Oh silly me, I forgot you can't handle numbers or statistics can you, anyone who doesn't know 3 is less than 6 would be wasting their time looking at really big numbers?

This is what happens. The data is out there. You don't understand it. You find someone else who doesn't understand or (deliberately) misrepresents it, but spouts about it on youtube/rumble/twitter/truthsocial, you believe them because you want to and put it on here. I (or others) explain why it's wrong. You change the subject. And on and on and on. Does any of this 2022 vaccination rate etc data have a control group? Was a control group needed? You don't know the basics. That's just the most recent of your scientific faux pas. It's why you have to resort to persoanl insults. You've got nothing else left. The vaccines are safe and effective. Not particulary effective at preventing infection any longer but they have given us a life without restrictions. Unless you live in China. No vaccines = No World Cup (or any other event without restrictions)

So people think the world did not need vaccinations and they were of no use. Does this apply to vaccines tHat fights polio, diphtheria,TB etc. What we are seeing here is massive massive human arrogance believing mankind cannot be subjected to natures evils ,like disaseases that kill, like several of my friends Just fark off and take your pitiful shyte elsewhere

Not a single word of truth from you, the only person not understanding simple statistics is you, but if you can't even tell 3 is less than 6 what do you expect? It is not my fault that you refuse to understand statistics that no longer align with your beliefs, when you used to use those same statistics to make your case of how good the vaccines were doing. How Effective one asks? The UK since 01/01/2022 when Omicron took over from the more lethal Delta Variant. 6,346,538 COVID cases and 47,270 COVID deaths. How about South Korea, they were at the world cup. Since January, when they reached 85% vaccinated, 20,000,000 cases and 25,000 deaths, prior to 01/01/2022 they only had 625,967 cases and 5,563 deaths. Well how about Japan? 23,000,000 cases and 32,000 deaths. Germany? 29,000,000 cases and 45,000 deaths. USA? 46,000,000 cases and 250,000 deaths. Argentina? 4,000,000 cases and 13,000 deaths. Portugal? 4,000,000 cases and 6,000 deaths. France? 28,000,000 cases and 36,000 deaths. So just those few countries and nearly half a million dead. You ask "Does any of this 2022 vaccination rate etc data have a control group", well yes the UK data has a control group, they are called "the unvaccinated" and they are doing much better than the Vaccinated groups as the ONS data shows. Which is why the ONS stopped producing the data. Just as the German, Israeli, US and Netherlands data all showed as well. But why would you need a "control group" to look at raw data of cases and deaths? either the vaccines worked or they didn't. Well I will leave that up to others to decide if they worked as advertised since January for the most benign variant of all.

UK. Omicron, the weakest but most infective variant of COVID. 6,346,538 COVID cases and 47,270 COVID deaths since January, does that sound like a polio, dyptheria ot TB vaccine to you? Yes or no?

As I said just completely changing the subject. Do you realise the data you've presented there shows over 16000000 cases and less than 500000 deaths? Those deaths include people who tested positive but died of something else too. It's an IFR comparable to or less than flu. That data just shows the vaccines are miraculous. Especially when you consider the evolution of the virus from the original strain to the current variant of omicron. No vaccines = no world cup. Your consideration of the unvaccinated as a control group is again pretty stupid. They're too small a group to be statistically significant. We've been here before, we'll have to agree to disagree. Even though I'm obviously right. It's completely pointless continuing with this stupid conversation. The vaccines are safe and work, everything and everyone (apart from idiots) realise it.

Comparing apples to oranges is one description of AFD and statistics. I'd say it's more like comparing a garden pea to a water melon. You could convince someone who wants to be convinced that the melon was a massive pea. Until you cut a slice.

The UK ONS data has 2 major control groups, first of all it is a comparison of Excess Mortality to previous years ie when we had flu seasons etc. The second which is measuring the efficacy of the Vaccines is the Unvaccinated population. But the key in the data is that between 2021 and 2022 it changed, during 2021 the vaccinated mortality/100,000 was less than the unvaccinated, especially at the beginning of the year. But ithe difference declined and by November 2021 it started to reverse and by May 2022 every single age group had worse results for the vaccinated, especially the single and double vaccinated groups. There is no later data than May 2022. You would assume that the most susceptible with other issues would have died during the waves of the more aggressive variants. Like I keep saying it is not my data and it is not my analysis, it is the analysis of many, both medical and statistical experts.
